This problem has stumped me for almost two years now. In a nutshell...
1) I create a textbox class, and set the font to Tahoma 8
2) I drop the textbox class on a form, and set other properties (name, etc.)
3) I build my form, and then users say they don't want Tahoma 8, they want
Tahoma 9
4) I go back to the textbox class and change it to Tahoma 9
5) I return to the form and rebuild it, and it still shows Tahoma 8 when I
run it.

I have created a framework with all our controls and forms we re-use
in different projects. When we build the framework application we
have a dll that we can reference in our project. When I create a form
in my new project I can inhertis from a form in my framework thru the
referenced dll.
I will illustrate this with an example:
I have a login form in the framework with 2 labels (User and
pasword),
2 textboxen (user name and pasword)...

I did a little experiment during localization of my software (or at least
preparations for localization) - without adding any language resources, I
just went through changing the Localizable property of each form from False
to True. I noticed that the resulting Executable instead of being 4mb was
closer to 8mb. This suprised me. So I did a little experiment. I set the
localizable flag to false on one noddy form and then checked the...

I have written a custom control called CheckboxDataList that derives
from the DataList webControl.
My control contains a public property called CheckedValues. The type of
this property is a generic <List> of strings
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.ComponentModel;

Hi there,
After applying the "Localizable" attribute to my form using the (form)
properties window in VS, I was expecting to see ""
preceding my form's class in code (added automatically by the IDE). I don't
however. Can someone point out where this info is stored. Thanks.

I'm creating a user control that has a handful of controls on it (19 in
total). One of the controls on the UC is a textbox for a user's password, so
I've set the PasswordChar property to "*". I rebuild and all is well.
The problem arises when I have the PasswordChar set, and then try to set
Localizable to True for the UC. If I set Localizable to true and have
PasswordChar set and rebuild, Visual Studio 2005 will then try to reload the...

Hi
I have a project with quite a number of dialogs in it all with
Localizable=true, and all except one working fine.
But the one is causing me trouble because even though Localizable=true is
set, all strings (.Text properties and the like) are still written to
InitializeComponent() in the .cs file instead of to the .resx file.
I have tried setting the Localizable to false again,
saving/building/restarting studio, and then setting...

I just had a thought and wondered if I am missing something or it is a good
suggestion.
Looking at some code, I was sorting through strings that should be put into
a resource file for localization and seeing which ones are not localizable.
I'm used various tools to easily put the strings into a resource file, but
it is still a manual process of evaluating whether a string should be
localized or not.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
