In my code I'm dynamically creating a GridView control and binding it to a
DataView object that I create form a DataSet that I get from a web service
call. It seems that no matter what I do I can not get the sort hyperlinks in
the header row to show up. I've set AllowSorting to true and various other
things but no matter what I do I can't get them to show up. Does sorting only
work with the new SqlDataSource and related objects in ASP.NET...

Hi,
Is there a way to show the column headers of a GridView control even if
there is no data? The only thing I see is the EmptyDataTemplate but I would
also like to display the column headers.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview
control that was returned by an sql query?
I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want
to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it.
I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in
asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

I'm sure this is a very simple problem, with straighforward solution. It

I'm trying to find a way to bind hierarchical data to a gridview control.
I've been able to do this with some third party controls and was wondering if

Hi All,
I have a Master(GridView) / Detail(DetailsView) page scenario. When
one clicks on a row in the GridView, the DetailsView will be filled-up
with related data.
My problem is that, whenever one clicks on a row in the GridView that
doesnt have any data to be displayed in the DetailsView, the
DetailsView only displays "no record found" as set via the
"EmptyDataText" property.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
