I have a WebForm with a ListBox in it. This SelectionMode is set to Multiple. When a button is clicked, I check what items are selected using: foreach (ListItem itm in lb.Items) { Trace.Write(itm.Text + ": " + itm.Selected); } The trace shows that only the first one selected no matter which items I actually selected in the ListBox.

Hello all, I am trying to go through a ListBox and verify if am item was selected. If an item was selected, I would like to get a handle of the item and simply do a response.write on the selected handle. The issue that I am facing is that I am going each item, but my code does not catch the selected item. Can anyone please take a look at the code and let me know what I am doing wrong.

Hi! I'm using a standard server side ASP.Net listbox control on a web form. The page is basically various shades of green. The listbox itself has a pale green background and forest green text and a forest green border. However, when you move the cursor from one item to the next within the listbox or you click on an item in the listbox to select it, the background turns to the standard windows dark blue with white letters. Well, that...

Hi all, I have a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn as one of my columns in a DataGridView. I want this checkbox to only be checked, but not unchecked - it's used by the user to audit that they have "seen" and checked an order. In VB6 I would handle the Mouse Button Down event, test the target cell and set the mouse event arguements to nothing. This doesn't actually work in ..NET, allowing the user to deselect the checkbox.

Hi, I have a multi-select ListBox that shows 5 rows at a time, but contains possibly a hundred or more items. As I retrieve relevant data from the database, I set the SelectedIndex of the rows matching the value for the current entry, and those show up as selected in the ListBox without any problems. However it is entirely possible, even likely, that the first selected index in the ListBox will not be in the first several items in...

I've tried googling for the answer to this problem, without any luck. I'm sure the truth must be out there somewhere! I have a multiselect listbox populated with many items (set by the RowSource property). In my code I cause a number of these to be selected - but if the first selected item is not within the currently visible range then there is no change to the display. This gives the impression that nothing has happened. I think...

Hi, I have a listbox set up so users can select multiple choices. I want to limit them so they can choose no more than 4 at a time. I have set up javascript code to do the check on the number of choices selected but what I want to do is if they choose more than 4 (i.e. 5), I want to unselect the last item they selected. I cannot figure out how to determine which was the last item selected. function HasExceededMaximumYearWeekCount() {

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
