Hi,
At the moment I am using Visual Studio 2005 beta 1.
The following program does not compile using the debug configuration
setting the "Disable Language Extensions" flag to "Yes(/Za)" while
using the release configuration the build has no problem.
Setting "Disable Language Extensions" flag to "No" I have no problem
in both debug/release configurations.

I'm starting up the development server myself and using the "Startup Url"
property of the web project. The problem is i cannot debug. The debug
symbols are never loaded. I realize they are under the temporary internet
files folder but I have even tried using the new depoloyment addin-in but
that does not seem to work either. There is a /bin folder with the debug
symboles in there but it still does not load them up
How can i include the...

Hello,
I have a VB 2005 Express project with a TraceListener-derived class to
route Debug.Print output to a log file. It works fine for Debug builds.
What is the correct combination of changes to make it work in Release
build?

When I tried debugging for the first time, I pop-up asked me if I wanted to set the project to enable debugging. Now I'm ready to release and can't find anyplace to set the build to 'release'. A pointer would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've just installed visual studio 2005. When I make code or form changes
and start debug (run program) my changes aren't seen unless I build the
program first. In 2003, I didn't have to build the program after every
change in code. Do I need to change a default setting in 2005?

I have a program I'm writing that has started executing the line
following the line that is highlighted in the debugger.
For instance
for x = 1 to 3
messagebox.show(x)
next
when for x = 1 to 3 is highlighted and I press F11 the message box pops up.

Hi everyone. I've been trying to move some small applications written in
vb.net 2003 to vb.net 2005 express just for testing purposes. I have
noticed so far that the applications seem to run much slower in the 2005
version. Especially when it comes to nested loops. I haven't done much
testing so it might just be this one computer but I was curious to know if
anyone else has experienced these kind of problems when moving to the 2005...

Hi,
I use Visual C# Express 2005 and Visual Web Developer Express 2005.
In my Visual C# Express 2005 Solution, I have following two class library
projects:
_ DataAccess (Namespace name: DataAccess)
_ SystemLibrary (Namespace name: SystemLibrary)
which they both build in their own "bin\Release\" folders.

I just converted a solution from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio
2005 and the Debug mode seems to be running just fine, but the Release
mode crashes on the following code:
std::ifstream in("myfile.txt");
float value;
in >value; //The crash happens here in the getloc() function
The above code is actually from a library built in Debug mode that is
linked into the Release build of the executable. Does anyone have any

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
