print the text in textbox to a specific location on page

1 New Member
Hi,
I am new in C# programming. I have saved some data to the database and after i retrieve it, i want to print it to the printer. I want to print that text to a specific location i.e. something like (x,y) location. Can anyone tell me, how to do this?

Ok, this is probably a silly question but I just keep hitting a brick wall here. I usually develop my sites entirely in ASP and use a database for data storage, works great for me. I also sometimes save information to a text file on my server like c:\invoices\customername.txt for batch processing later... I use the FSO commands and it all works slick. Now, I have a new project: A client wants us to log in to their website on another...

I have a weird behavior occuring in IE 6.0. I am trying to use HTML to display documents to a user, but then also have it sent directly to the printer and have it look similiar (I know probably not the best way to do it). If I have multiple pages, everything works just fine. For some reason that I can't figure out, when I only have a single page, IE when it goes to print (print preview included), will add a second blank page, regardless...

I'm trying to make a webpage do the following: I want a user to be able to click on a given image (there will be more than one image). Upon clicking a given image, characters specific to that image will be inserted into a textbox which is actually a text area. If the cursor is in the textbox/textarea then the characters are to be inserted at the cursor location. This means if the cursor is between some text then the characters need to...

I have a simple form where I am using a dataset called Client. On the data entry screen, there are name, address, city state and zip. I have the fields bound to the dataset field. (Properties screen: Data bindings then Text ) When I run the program and make a change to an existing record in the City text box, the Dataset value for this column is changed as expected. When I check the HasChanges property it says false. I don't...

All, Being immersed in vb.net and trying CSharp after almost a year I forgot the differences. I like vb fixing the uppercase/lowercase names and seeming to be more flexible to code entry. But while trying to insert a text box to see when a method is used, and putting a counter to bump some variable? The textbox sits there unchanged. I put a breakpoint at the text write

Hello, I can't quite seem to figure out this issue; it is specific to Firefox, as it works fine in IE. I have an iFrame within an aspx page that is passed a value in the query string (e.g. /index.aspx?query=about%20us). What happens (in IE at least!) is that upon load, a textbox is filled with the querystring and a search function is executed (search function is not an issue).

I am using VB.NET 2008. I have a multiline textbox on the form that I would like to print when the user click on the "Print" button. With my codes below, when the text are in more than 1 page (say 3 pages) of the textbox, when it prints the text in the text box, the 2nd and 3rd pages are printed on the same page with the 1st page. So, instead of printing 3 pages, it prints 1 page with the text from page 2 and 3 are printed on top of each...

I am running out of printing paper trying to debug this...it has to be trivial, but I cannot figure it out--can you? Why am I not printing text, but just the initial string "howdy"? On the screen, when I open a file, the entire contents of the file is in fact being shown...so why can't I print it later? All of this code I am getting from a book (Chris Sells) and the net. The solution is to be found in the fact that stringbuilder is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
