Crystal Reports SubReport having a SubReport?

C
Hi,

I have a main Report which has a SubReport.

This SubReport also has a SubReport.

I set the data of my main Report and Subreport through code
DataSet dsMainReport = daLayer.GetMain ReportData();
DataSet dsSubReport = daLayer.GetSubR eportData();
string fileOutputPath =
Server.MapPath( "../Reports/MainReport.rpt" );

// Load the report
crReportDocumen t.Load(fileOutp utPath);

//declare the tables
crTables = crReportDocumen t.Database.Tabl es;

//assign tables

crReportDocumen t.Database.Tabl es[0].SetDataSource( dsMainReport.Ta bles[0]);

crReportDocumen t.Subreports[0].Database.Table s[0].SetDataSource( dsSubReport.Tab les[0]);

For the SubReport's SubReport I have set it to use a field on the SubReport
of the Main Report. Yet this SubReport does not get displated.

I only see the Main Report and it's SubReport.

Anyone know why? Can I have a Subreport which in turn has a SubReport?

Thanks.

Hey all, I am trying to try get a crytal report running properly. A "Hello World" report that does not add criteria to the record selection formula of the report (either in the development tool, or in the code) works fine. However, when I try to add any parameter through the record selection formula and/or the report parameters method, the report crashes. I have tried each of the methods:

I posted this in another forum, but I'm adding it here to for more exposure.I am using Visual Studio 2003 and trying to get Crystal Reports to produce output. If you have any ideas, please let me know. This is a common problem, but nobody seems to have an answer for it. CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed. What does that mean, specifically? What logon is failing?

Hello, I have created a report using Crystal Reports 9 in VB.NET. I'm having trouble with a subreport. I have created a view in SQL server, and a dataset in VB.NET based on that view. I'm a bit confused by how sub-reports work... I know that with my main report, I pass the VB form that contains my ReportViewer the dataset I need to populate the data. Do I need to do the same for subreports? I went through the process of adding another...

I have just posted a variation of this question on the Crystal Reports board, but most times I do not get a reponse. I have a report in which I asked about yesterday and after working all day on this, I actually have it looking pretty good. It is displaying header information and listing the data that I want it to in various sub reports. The problem that I am having is that the sum of the rows in the subreports, it is printing one...

Hi all, I have a piece of code in my C# console application to export from crystal report files to PDF. For some reports files, I get errors below. I have Crystal Reports 8.5 with service pack installed on my local machine. What is the reason to cause this "Unknown Query Engine Error"? This is a report with 3 sub-reports, is there anything missing in my code to handle this type of reports? Thanks a lot! =====================Error Call...

Hello, experts. I'm using C# to create WinForms application with Crystal Reports as a reporting tool. I have three very simple table-like reports and I have one report with three subreports, every subreport on separate section and every subreport represents one of simple reports. How can I get access to TextObject which resides in, say, Section1 of the first Subreport? Or can I get access to any Section of Subreport? Smth like:...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
