Tri-XML 2006 XML Conference one month away

I thought some of the list members might be interested (whether active
or lurkers)...

For the past few years, we've held the Tri-XML conference here in the
Research Triangle Park area. This fourth year we again have an
interesting roundup of leaders in the XML arena, speaking about workflow
and other emerging XML technologies such as AJAX, ATOM, and DITA.

The conference is pulled together each year by the XML user group I'm
involved with; Kay Ethier and I head the conference. You may have seen
notices about the event on a developer forum. But the event is not just
an informal gathering - the speakers are top notch, and it has the
support of OASIS-Open, LISA, CMS Watch, CM Professionals, and Data Direct.

The schedule is online at http://www.trixml.org/confschedule.shtml if
you want to check it out. The conference includes XML and XSLT
introductions, some great and well-known keynote speakers, tech docs
workflow topics, and blogging/podcasting/wiki presentations.
Thank you,

Mitch Amiano

Hello I would like to call a unix shellscript from within a PHP script and - write data to its STDIN - read data from its STDOUT *and* STDERR - get its exit code afterwards proc_open seems to be the right thing to use but I have the problem that the called program gives >8kb data on both stdout/stderr back which causes my PHP script to simply hang in the fread call. To be precise the first 4096 "O" characters are read and displayed. ...

I suppose something like this may have been posted before. I am unaware of it. It's intended to duplicate the gradient filter that MS provides in their manifestation of CSS. Yes, I know it creates a gazillion labels. ESPECIALLY I KNOW it could Screw Up Your Form, so PLEASE, make a few hundred safety copies before you try this at all. Yes, I know an image might be easier on a one time basis, but it's not likely to be as easily changed (I...

Hello everybody, I'm trying to program a linked list, but unfortunately it segfaults when I run the program. The code is basically the same as one can find in several places in the internet. With gdb I found out, that my root->next points to some strange memory area instead of where it should. The program segfaults in the while loop in list_append during the third call of list_append.

Is there any way to have tri-state checkboxes in the TreeView, preferably without having to use the state icons for that purpose. Does anyone have or know of an implementation of tri-state checkboxes for the TreeView? Thanks, Aaron Queenan.

I'm working with a subclassed listview control and I'd like to have the ability to set the checkbox on a certain item to indeterminate. I've tried adding three images to the stateimagelist (unchecked, checked, and indeterminate), but setting the checkstate in the ItemCheck event doesn't seem to do the trick. Actually, whenever I click on the checkbox it seems to cycle through the images in the stateimagelist. Also, once this item is set...

I need to make a tri-state check box. (It's values will be off, checked-always on, or 1-run once) Would I be correct in assuming the best way to do this is to make some kind of custom control that displays a "checkbox". The control would have JS in it to change a graphic image that represents the box. If this is the case, how would I read in the selected value once the form is posted? I'm planning on having a couple on the same form...

Is there anything in HTML today, or perhaps in the near future that would support the tri-state checkboxes that Windows sometimes uses (in the third state, the box is filled with a green "wash") -- Steve Swift http://www.swiftys.org.uk/swifty.html http://www.ringers.org.uk

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
