Parse CDATA in XML Document

C
Hi,

I have an XML doc as below

<WebSRFTempla te Version="1" Type="SERVICE">
<Data>
<Field Name="SERVICESt aticRoute2IPnet work1">Test</Field>
</Data>
</WebSRFTemplate>

I load this into an XmlDocument using C#

I then create an XPathNavigator using my XmlDocument.

How do I get the CDATA using my XPathNavigator?

XPath does not know any CDATA sections, it has only text nodes in its
data model so you can use an XPath to select a text node e.g.
/WebSRFTemplate/Data/Field/text()

It shouldn't be there in the first place.

Hi folks, I'm writing a web-page editing tool for my company which will allow staff (with no "technical" expertise) to maintain their own Intranet sites. The content for each webpage is stored in the form of XHTML in an XML document (which, in turn, is stored in an XML database). So far so good. However the editing tool must allow users to paste in the contents of MS Word documents. I soon discovered that Word does not generate...

I am creating a XML document which opens fine in IE. Implies MSXML thinks it is a well formed document. But when I try to load this document in VB.net using the following code Dim doc As New XmlDocument doc.Load("C:\Projects\SQLXML\corc.xml") I get the following error: "System.Xml.XmlException: An unexpected end of file parsing CDATA has

What would be the best way to parse this XML document? I want to avoid using XMLDocument. I don't know if I should use XMLTextReader, or Xpath classes. There is only one element <MessageStore> element in the document, "always" at the end of the document. There will be thousands of <Messages> elements, "always" before <MessageStore> element. 1st Step

Out of curiosity, may a CDATA section appear within an attribute value with datatype CDATA? And if so, how about other attribute value datatypes which accept the XML markup characters? To me, the XML specification seems a little ambiguous on this, so I defer to the XML authorities. Refer to sections 2.4 and 2.7 (it all hinges on if CDATA attribute values are part of markup or not.) Thanks.

I have been able to successfully retrieve data from an xml file, where the data has been massaged a little bit, to create a table to be retrieved and it is displayed via a document.writeln within a javascript file, but now I am going to go completely AJAX & using innerHTML to display the same information to the browser. First, snippets of the original code that was working with no problem: XML first:
bla bla
...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
