Attempting to pass a VBScript Array of Bytes to a C# Managed COM object has
resulted in some very undesirable and strange behavior. When definining a
method in my C# COM class as "void Write(byte bBytes)" or "void
Write(byte bBytes, int nLen)" or "int Write(byte bBytes, int
nLen)"VBScript returns a "Invalid procedure call or argument" exception.
However when I define the method as "int Write(byte bBytes)" it works just
fine. Unfortunately...

Hello,
I'm interested in establishing the best way to pass information between a vb
script and a .net application.
We have a VbScript that runs on a users pc every time a phone call is routed
to that user, this script is provided by out telecom provide. The Script
contains call details e.g. incoming number.
My aim is to pass data from this vb script to my .net app.

Hi,
I have been handed the task of updating and maintaining a web
application, written in ASP and Javascript, that takes complex
user inputs in HTML form and submits them to server-side ASP
pages for processing. The problem is, the user inputs can
become very complex, and the way this application was developed,
the inputs are all concatenated into monstrously long strings
of text that are then submited as <hidden> inputs in HTML forms...

I am having trouble getting a complex data type to get passed to a non-COM
dll's function by ref and return back data from that object. Simple data
types work fine but when I try the complex data types, with the class it
simply initializes but returns nothing. The struct I have tried several
different ways all of them either erros or the app simply closes out
(usually when I try to pass the struct with the ref keyword). Any help would
be...

Hi
From what I understand, you can pass arrays from classic ASP to .NET using
interop, but you have to change the type of the.NET parameter to object.
This seems to be because classic ASP passes a variant containing an array,
and interop expects a parameter of type object if you are passing a variant
(you are expected to cast it to the correct type in your code). I'd like to
find a way of passing arrays so that you don't need to change...

Hi All,
I'm getting an error on my ASP page:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'StoreFileIntoField'
I assume - 99.5% - the error is generated because of worng value types,
I attemp to pass from my ASP/VBScript page to the VB/DLL function.

Hello.
I'm trying to exchange data between a webservice based on Apache Axis
and a client written in C#, and so far it has been working with few
problems (none that I couldn't solve myself with a bit of web
research). However, now I've tried passing complex data types between
the two, and could not get that to work.
What I did was to declare my data type on the Axis/Java side as an
Object implementing java.io.Serializable, and when I...

Hi,
I'm trying to pass values of different data-types to a web-service. I
thought it would be easier to box these values and pass them as a
System.object parameter, like
public void webmethod1(object a)
where a can be of type string, DateTime, float, etc..

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
