I am using the ReadXMLSchema method of system.data.dataset to read a schema into a dataset.
I have an XML file that I build up and wish to do a .Update against a database.
The dataset doesn't have a schema and takes the following form:

<DataSetEntities xmlns:ms="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt" xmlns:guids="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:guids" xmlns="C:/DACXML/EntityAttribute.xsd">

I'm trying to use the ReadXmlSchema method of the DataSet class from behind a firewall/proxy server and can't get it to work. I can run the code on a machine not behind the firewall and it works fine, but I can't figure out a way to get ReadXmlSchema to use a Proxy
This works with no proxy server but gets a (403) error when run behind the firewall
myXmlReader = new XmlTextReader(schema)...

I have seen this type of question raised in various groups but no one has supplied a definitive answer. I am trying to load a dataset schema that has an xs:include. Project policy is to have all schemas as embedded resources but there appears to be no means by which the DataSet.ReadXmlSchema method can be induced to use a custom Xmlresolver in order to supply the embedded referenced schema.

Hi,
Ive had a bit of a look around for other people with this problem and
cant find anything that solves it in my case, so I'm afraid im going to
have to bother you all with a post of my own.
Essentially, I am trying to read in an xml schema and then an xml
document into a dataset using ReadXmlSchema and then ReadXml. When i do
this, i end up with a table in the dataset (which i assume is created
when i read the schema), but no rows...

I'm trying to validate input from an xml source to a dataset in
dotnet2.0. As far as I can see, type errors correctly cause an
exception, but values that are the correct type but do not satisify
xsd:restriction conditions are ingested without a murmur. Is this a bug
or a feature?
Very frustrating.

I developed and tested a web application using VS.NET 2003, VB, .NET
Framework 1.1.4322, ASP.NET 1.1.4322 and IIS5.1. It uses a web form.
I used the XML Designer to create an XML .XSD Schema to produce a Dataset.
In looking for a way to start adding data to the dataset programmatically, i

I've had a look around and noticed a couple of others having this
issue, but with no replies. Hopefully someone can help with this.
I have a schema (let's call it "Schema1.xsd") that I want to read into
an untyped DataSet using the ReadXmlSchema method. The problem is that
"Schema1.xsd" imports another schema (let's call it "DataTypes.xsd") to
reference some common data types.

This would better be described by 'serialization' than 'interop', but I
didn't find a newsgroup that seems closer on topic.
The problem in a few words: I save data with DataSet.WriteXML, but I get
different data back when I read it later with DataSet.ReadXml.

Hi group...
I am having big difficulties with dataset and xsd schemas.
First I dedicate a specific schema to a dataset. Then I use an adapter
to fill each table in the dataset.
But the problem is, when I use the write or getxml on the dataset, the
result is NOT like the schema I provided the dataset which I think
should not be possible.
I hope to get some idea how to correct my problem.
