Hi All
I have been trying to add a control to the header cell of
a datagrid on my ASP.NET page. These controls are defined
in the HTML as ASP.NET web controls.
They are being added into the header of the datagrid in
the "ItemDataBound" method of the grid. However, once,
they are added in the grid, i seem to lose the event
handler for the same control. Is there anyone who has
tried this before and knows why this is hapenning ??

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me how I can embed a managed UserControl inside an MFC
application? I don't particularly want to put a COM-callable wrapper around
my .NET component if I can help it. I can easily convert the MFC app to use
managed extensions though.
I've had success with opening a managed dialog from an MFC application (very
easy); what I'm having trouble with is embedding something derived from (eg)...

Hi,
I use a lot of web user controls for web development.
And I need all your views on this.
(1)Does the functionality(Logic part) of a web user control should be
included in the aspx page that uses the web user control using events.
If you are doing this way, you will be able to use the same user control

With a little help from someone in this forum, I am currently creating forms
and then embedding them into tabpages, so that I get a display similar to
Lotus Notes. I have one container window, so I am using this approach as an
alternative to a MDI container.
My issue is that when I resize the container form, the controls that anchored
to the right in the embedded form do not move with the container form. After
investigating I have found...

I still have not gotten this damn thing figured out and I'm asking for help
one last time before I give up on it. I have a user control that contains a
paged gridview control. The master page contains a menu control What I
want to happen is that, whenever a menu item is selected, the appropriate
user control will load. Simple enough? Well, not for me.
I finally got the gridview paging and postback issue resolved thanks to...

I've been trying for a long time to figure this out, to have a page
with several MP3 clips, and each one having a custom start and stop
button next to them to play the track. I finally found a bit of code
that does this, but it's made for only one mp3 file. I don't know
enough about javascript to customize the code myself. I know there
probably needs to be an "array" of some sort, but I need some help
figuring out where and how that works....

Hi,
the subject says it all. Since visible=false controls will still run
though Page_Load, I was hoping that the MultiView would somehow manage
to avoid a Page_Load of controls in its inactive Views. But of course
it does not.
I guess a safe way to avoid Page_Load is to only add the controls at
runtime into the activated view. Which of course neglects the beauty
of editing the layout if several views in one ascx.

I have a page with a MultiView control and 6 Views. Each view has a
User control that contains various form controls (dropdowns, textboxes
and CascadingDropDown Ajax.Net controls).
When the page is loaded, I populate the various form controls with
data inside each of the 6 Views by accessing my exposed properties of
my User Control.
All the controls persist during postback, and any changes I make also
persist during postbacks, but...

Hello Everyone,
I am having a hard time understanding how to implement MVP in winforms with
custom controls. I am attempting to make use of TDD using nUnit for my
tests. Do any of you have a list of links to direct me to?
It seems to me that custom controls are mini views that are used in a larger
composite view. Since control creation occurs on during form
initialization, how does the view get hooked into place?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
