Hi All,
We have an Access XP application in which we utilize automation to
control MS MapPoint 2004. It works pretty well, for the most part.
Now, we would really like to use the MapPoint Control in our
application to give our users active maps to interact with, but the
control's help page explicitly states that it is NOT for use in
Access:
(With MapPoint 2004, the MapPoint Control is supported only in

Hi,
I need to be able to click onto a map and then drill down to a report.
For example, could we have a map of the Chicagoland area with
clickable areas (zip code) and when a user clicks on an area it would
drill down to a list of stores (Crystal Reports) for that clicked
area. Could Mappoint do this? If not is there something else you could
recommend (Crystal Report's maps (8.5) is not very good)?
Also, with our Action Pack...

Is there a way to host the mappoint control in vb.net? I don't want to use
the web service because the destination system will not have internet. I
tried to host it and got an error about the library not being registered. Yet
it shows up in the COM section when I added it to the toolbox, and shows up
in the toolbox but I can't drop it on a form? I need to display a map and
modify the map using code. I saw a demo of this a LONG time ago in...

I have been using MS MapPoint for a few years now to display icons
(potentially thousands of them) on Maps of the UK, France and Australia, but
mainly the UK. This service costs me £4500/year (for 100,000 hits I think,
of which I use very few). I am only using the service to serve up the map
images, from then I do all the icon plotting business server side.
What I want to know is, can anyone recommend any cheaper alternitives to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
