Vector Graphics - Maps - Microsoft MapPoint

Hi,

is there a tool for Vector Graphics Maps creation? (maybe a free version?)

If yes: Can I use the created map with Microsoft MapPoint? Would it be
possible to create a map of a building and routing with this? thank you...juvi

I don't think we can use custom maps with MapPoint but check some more as
things are changing now that Google is trying to take over the web.

I've done a lot of drafting of maps and buildings and so on. I suggest you
search the web for a free CAD program and draw the map yourself. You'll be
exporting what you draw in DXF format which is a common file format for
vector graphics allowing you to reuse what you draft with other programs.

Im really stuck with this. I have a propietary GIS system, with a georaphical database (like Oracle Spatial)... with a lot of gis info and maps. The point is ... i actually have a very big and complex subrutine that can read and analize that DB... and generate an spatial output. I can use the the Bitmap object from the System.Drawing namespace and simply draw the output from teh DB.... but it's a bitmap/raster image.

I used MS mappoint 2004 to show market data based on ZIP (very cool). How do I get this moved to the web? I'd like our sales dept to be able to pan/zoom the US and apply/remove different statistical "overlays" based on our live SQL 2K db. Do I need a different product?

Hi all; I have a problem when inserting an element to a vector. All I want is reading some data from a file and putting them into a vector. But the program is crashing after pushing a data which has string value. I really do not understand why push_back() function is trying to remove previously inserted data. Thanks for any help

Hi guys, anybody knows if it is possible to generate a <div id="myMap" style="width: 400; height:300; left: 0px; top: 0px;" /> inside your intranet site, to represent a programmatically generated map with the "http://dev.virtualearth.net/mapcontrol/mapcontrol.ashx?v=6.1" script reference?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
