Managed C++ on Smart Devices

Does anyone know if managed C++ is supported on Smart Devices, like for a
Pocket PC 2003? I'd like to use ADO.NET for data access on a Pocket PC .

AFAIK, C++/CLI Interop does not work on the Compact Famework, because the
compact framework does not support certain features necessary for that (e.
g. CALLI).

I have Visual C#.net and got visual studio 2003 with it as a package. My question is, can I create programs for Smart Devices? In the help file it walks you through it, but it tells you to create a new project and click smart device. The only templates it lists under "Visual C# Projects are: Windows Application Class Library ASP.NET Web Application ASP.NET Web Service ASP.NET Mobile Web Application

Hello Esteemed Developers and Experts, I have been using Microsoft Visual C++ .NET for 1 year. During this time, I have searhed some topics over internets. Most of the topics about .NET is related to C# and Visual Basic .NET. There are less documents about Visual C++ .NET or Managed C++. I wonder the reasons of below questions: 1) Is C# more powerful than Managed C++ and Visual C++ .NET? 2) Is Microsoft intending to support C# and...

Are attributed ATL projects be supported under Whidbey for Smart Devices? The New ATL Project dialog box doesn't have the 'Attributed' check box for smart devices projects in Beta1, but Win32 desktop projects do have this checkbox. When I add a new class to my ATL Smart Device project and select for instance an ATL Simple Object, I do have the possibility to generate an attributed class. However, when I build I get the following errors:

Hi, Programing for smart phones/pda/pocket PC... can be difficult because of the number of operating systems and the variety of devices. Is anyone aware of a cross-operating system/cross-device environment to write programs in C++. Open-source or not! Or maybe there is no such thing and the solution is to set up a specific project for each target? Thanks in advance

Hi, What's in general the most performant for a VB.NET Windows Forms (2.0) application: - a fat client (everything one the client, the server hosts only the database) - a smart client (an application on the client, that communicates with an application on the server via Webservices/Remoting/..) I would somehow think a smart client, but would just like to have the

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
