restore original settings in visual studio .net

Ken
I have visual studio .net 2003, the problem is now the solution
explorer window, and the class view window are gone, they are
originally located on the right hand side of the visual studio window.
I went to menu bar and click view and it shows up, but I want it to
locate on the right hand side as it used to be, rather than floatting
around on the screen. It really bothers me and I tried to move the
windows around and still couldn't make it look neat.

any ideas how to restore back to the original setting in visual studio?
please advise. thanks!!

Hello Ken,

Go to the Start Page (main page when VS stats), then "My profile" page and
choose required type in "Windows layout" dropdownbox

BTW, you can change location of your windows manually, unpin the window and
drag it by the caption to the necessary location

In Visual Studio .NET IDE font settings (Tools, Options, Environment \ Font and Colors), some installed fonts are not listed. And funnily, when you choose different selections in "Show settings for:" drop down, different fonts are missing or listed. For example, for Text Editor, you can choose the MS Sans Serif font, but for Dialogs and Tool Windows, MS Sans Serif is not listed. For all settings except for Printer, Tahoma is not listed but...

Hi all, a bit of a nasty one here! Ive inherited a server that has just collapsed. It contains SQL Server and has a fair amount of data on it. The server would only boot into a BSOD Stop Error. I suspected that one of the hives in the registry was corrupt so I used the Win2K Recovery Console to restore the registry to its original settings (So Windows can not see the SQL stuff now). There is no restore points from which to take recent...

How can I find the "My Profile" tab on the Start page. I have the "Recent Projects", "Getting Started" and "Visual Studio Headlines" in panes on the left hand side and "MSDN: Visual C++" on the right. The picture in "Introduction to Visual Studio .NET" shows a different Start Page tab with a link "My Profile" highlighted on the left hand side. I recently installed Visual Studio 2003, after having already installed VS 2005. Unfortunately, it took over all of the file associations. There is an option in Visual Studio 2005 to restore these associations, under Tools > Options Environment General. However, this button doesn't seem to do anything. Specifically, my SLN files were associated to VS 2003, and when I clicked this, this association didn't change. I even tried deleting...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
