I posted a message a while ago about programatically
databinding and got a response that did not make sense to
me. Here's a brief description of what I want to do.
If I create a regular aspx page I can use the designer to
create a DataAdapter and generate a typed dataset. I can
then put a datalist on my page, set its datasourse
property to my dataset and put a Textbox inside the

I kind of understand how the below works, however I am trying to do it at runtime vrs design time.
<asp:TextBox id="TextBox1" runat="server" Text='<%# StateList.SelectedItem.Text %>'></asp:TextBox>
So what I really want to do is something like I show below.
In Page_Load I have:

I have a ComboBox and a TextBox bound to a Dataset/datatable returned from a
SQL Database. The databinding is set in Design Mode.
Everything works fine on my initial fill, and I get the correct list of
items in the combobox, and the textbox which is bound to a second column in
the same table, changes to the appropriate value when a new item is selected
in the ComboBox. The ComboBox is displaying a list of products, and the
texbox the...

I posted this yesterday with a different email address. I am reposting with
my fake-address as given to me by Microsoft so that I can be guraranteed a
response from a support representative. Sorry for the repost.
I'd like to make use of the asp:Wizard control to present a step-by-step
guided experience for my user to fill out a complicated data-entry form.
I'd like to make use of two-way databinding provided by the asp:FormView

I posted this message to another board and have hardly had any views on it,
leave alone answers. So I am cross-posting here.
This may be a very simple question but I can't get my head around it.
I have a textbox's enabled property bound to the IsNew property of an object.
this.txtPhone1.DataBindings.Add("Enabled", this.BindingSource, "IsNew", true);
So when the IsNew property is true, my textbox is enabled. This is correct

Hi!
I am having some very strange behavior with my databound controls. It's
taken a long time to isolate exactly what is provoking the problem, but I'm
still leagues away from solving it.
I have a DataView which filters a DataSet. Bound to this dataview is a
ListBox, via its DataSource property. The DisplayMember is the name property
of the row. Simple enough so far?

Hey All,
I have been able to set up a databinding to a property with the following code:
<TextBox x:Name="txtTextBox" Text="{Binding Path=NameFirst, Mode=TwoWay, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}"/>
and in the code:
profile = context.NewProfile();
profile.NameFirst = "My Name";
txtTextBox.DataContext = profile;

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
