Generate ASP.Net page from an XML

Hello, I have an xml file and xsd file, I am trying to develop an
application that reads the xml and xsd and generate an asp.net page
(with elements names as labels and either text box, combo box, e.tc for
element values). I searched the web but did not find any article to how
do accomplish this. If you are aware of an article or information, can
you please post here.
Kind Regards

Hey Frank, I'm a novice with this taking over someone elses application. I'm attempting to add a dataset to a page. I have the query to populate the page and I have the walkthrough instructions. Visual Studios does not want to cooperate. This is what I'm following: To generate a dataset From the Data menu, choose Generate DataSet. Tip If the Generate DataSet command is not enabled, click the page; the page must have focus for the...

Hi, I'm relatively new at this language, so I've been trying to find parallels to problems I've run into in the past. This is the hypothetical problem: I want to write a CD inventory application. There is a page where it asks the user for the number of tracks on a CD. After they enter the number of tracks, I would like to generate that number of text fields on the page (i.e. if user enters 30, I want to generate 30 text fields), so...

Hi Everyone, Is it possible to generate, in code, exactly (or close to it) the detailed error page generated by (IIS? ASP.NET? .NET Framework?) when an exception is thrown in a ASP.NET web application using C#? Details: I am an experienced programmer doing my first web application for an intranet doing ASP.NET.

Hey everyone, I am curious what the performance impact of a custom control would be if it had a significant hierarchy of children. For example, 40 child controls, 5 levels deep, each control on average has 20 properties. What would be the best way to implement such a thing? The book I am reading uses templated controls and basically reconstructs the entire hierarchy everytime page is accessed based on the tags in the .aspx file, but...

Hello, i am having this problem. The exact error message is: "Unable to generate code for a value of type 'System.Web.UI.Page'. This error occurred while trying to generate the property value for Page." After a lot of googling, all i can find that this applies to is when trying to use enum-type datatypes as bit-vector flags, or when use designers to make an expandable property in the property tool-window. However, NEITHer of these...

I would like to generate a HTML page and mail it to a user. In order to design the page, I would like to leverage the Web Form designer and code-behind programming model, but instead of generating the page in response to a browser request, I would like to generate the page from code and fetch the HTML code into a string and use that as the mail body that I send to a user by SMTP. How can I do this? Olav

Greetings. Ok, I admit it, I bit off a bit more than I can chew. I need to complete this "Generate Report" page for my employer and I'm a little over my head. I could use some additional assistance. I say additional because I've already had help which is greatly appreciated. I do try to take the time and understand the provided script in hopes on not having to trouble others on those. But here it goes...

I would like to dynamically create a Visio diagram from .Net. I tried looking at the Visio SDK, but the samples are extremely convoluted for me to understand. Does someone have an example of creating a basic drawing with two shapes connected? I can then expand that example to include other elements. Also, my plan is for this project to be an ASP.Net website. Is Visio required to be on the web server in order to generate the Visio...

Hello, I am currently trying to use XSLT for the creation of multiple HTML-files from a single XML-File. This HTML-files need to have links to each other. The following information might be important: There are some special nodes that will start a new HTML-page ("page-nodes"). Those nodes can be nested. Those nodes have an attribute "name" which is not necessarily unique. There are another special nodes that will create a link in one...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
