Hi,
I'm brand new to Crystal Reports and have just gotten my feet wet with
VS.Net.
I have a web application in ASP.NET 2.0 (VB) that writes to a SQL Server
2005 database.
I need to utilize Crystal Reports to create lengthy, multiple page legal
documents pulling information from one record in the database.
First of all, how to I set a parameter to access a specific record (e.g.,
SSN) whose value will vary each time the application is run/each time the
report is generated.
Also, how do I create multi-page reports where most of the information is
static legal text?
And how do I insert page breaks, etc.?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michelle 1 1948

hello,
i previously posted the questions below on several crystal reports newsgroups, including the one for
the company that makes crystal reports, but never got an answer, so i'm hoping that someone on this
board knows the answers to them. the questions are for the version of crystal that ships with visual
studio.net 2003. if it helps, the reports that i create are in a visual basic.net project. it was
recommended that i post the...

is there a way of integrating mysql databases into the .net crystal reports?
in the report wizard i have options for sql databases, but nothing for
mysql. is there a plugin i'm missing for it?
i've tried creating a dataset and filling it with the data from a mysql
query, but it still does not show up in the wizard. i have also tried to
create fields and import data to them, but there seems to be no way of

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been
able to solve my problem.
I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has
many Access reports.
I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command
button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a
pdf file and save it to the user's machine.
I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hi,
I am automating Access reports to PDF using PDF Writer 6.0. I've
created a DTS package to run the reports and schedule a job to run this
DTS package. If I PC Anywhere into the server on where the job is
running, the job runs sucessfully, PDF files got generated, everything
is good. If I scheduled the job to run at the time that I am not
logged into the server, Access is not able to print to the printer.
The error is pretty...

First let me start by saying that this problem is not consistently
reproducible. I have a windows service that creates reports for a
group of entities. This service can process multiple groups at a
single time, where each group is running in a separate thread. I have
noticed mixed behavior when running multiple groups at one time (in
separate threads). I have received the following two messages logged
as errors.
- A Crystal Reports...

We've got an old VB6 application which has 9 Crystal Reports it can print.
These 9 reports are considered by our users to be in essence one "report",
in the sense that they are all related and they cannot make their business
plans without all 9 reports. However, they really are 9 separate reports, 7
of which have sub-reports in them.
One of my colleagues has been working on converting them from the VB6 app,
to .RPT files which can be...

I am currently using ASP.Net 2003 and will be upgrading to 2005
sometime in the near future. I have been having issues with using
Crystal Reports that were included with .Net to handle my reporting
needs. I was wondering if anybody has an opinion on how the new
reportViewer control works in comparison to Crystal. One of the main
problems I have been having with Crystal Reports is that they seem to
load very slow no matter how small the...

I've been looking on the web trying to find a solution to converting a
PDF Form from v.1.6(Acrobat 7) to PDF v1.4(Acrobat 5). It's one of
those weird situations where one of the applications I'm using requires
v.1.4. v.1.6 will mess up the application itself. PDFversion.exe (a
conversion utility) doesn't support the 1.6 format and Acrobat 7
doesn't want to do backwards conversion on a PDF Form (at least from
what I can see).
So... I...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
