Hello All,
I have been working on this for almost a week now and I haven't anything up
my sleeves anymore that I could test in addition or change....
Since I am not sure, if this is a Windows 2003 Server or ADO or ODBC issue,
I am posting this on all of the three newsgroups.
That's the setup:
Windows 2003 Server with IIS and ASP.NET actiavted
Access 2002 mdb file (and yes, proper rights are set on TMP paths and path,

After expressing my interest in expanding my new knowledge of HTML and CSS
into the wild realm of JavaScript, I was advised that it is wiser to avoid
it, since not all browsers are use it or are enabled to read it. After
searching for other opinions on the web, I found that some estimate that the
frequency of browsers that can read JS currently is better than 90% -- that
is certainly workable for me!
Do you good people have any thoughts...

I am beginning work on a somewhat complex project and I need to decide what
route to take before beginning the project. The main issue with this
project is that it needs to be modular and support customized additions on
standard pages. What I mean by the last statement is this.
I have a webpage UserSignup.aspx that has all of the standard profile fields
(name, address, email, phone). This page resides in a standard project so
that...

Hi
In vb6 I downloaded multiple pages from a website asynchronously by
instantiating a dll 3 times that used an inet control with a doevents on the
getchunk method when finished I simply raised the event through the dll. This
method allowed control back to the application but more importantly to
download more pages not waiting for the page before to finish.
It was sloppy but it achieved the purpose with little overhead.
Within VB.NET...

In my ASP.Net 2.0 website I defined base page type in web config as follows:
<pages MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback="true" pageBaseType="base_Page" />
It all works fine for the pages.
Now I am adding webservices to the site - I use the same business objects
and authentication/authorization.
The code behind the webservice is trivial:

Hi,
We recently converted a 1.1 project to 2.0 and this included a webservice
which accepted XML for one of the parameters. Since converting to 2.0 I am
getting the following message:
---
A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client
(myparam="<root><blah....").

The fix used for ASPX pages is to include the @Page directive with

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
