I have an ASP page and a CREGReports002.vbs file coded to export data to
excel. I do this by building variables in a stored procedure. The ASP page
has text boxes, list boxes, and radio buttons. I also placed two buttons on
the form. One submits the form to redirect to the Crystal Web Viewer
(genCREGReports.ASP). The other one executes VB code in a vbs document that
spawns some more code to run a stored procedure with the values from...

Hi,
I am using .net remoting technology. I set up a .net remoting client and
server in IIS. When the client calls the server, the server will run a long
duration method (30-60seconds). I have a test on it that if the network
broken at the time the client have already send the remoting request and
waiting for the server, the client side will wait infinitely by default,
even if i already set the executionTimeout to 90seconds in...

I have been trying to figure out why I am getting this message... I have an
application that is 20 different ASP pages that works in sequential order
(step1, step2, step3...). After each step the app writes the entered text
to a cookie. This feature is so that if there is a problem, we can still
retrieve the data.
This Bad Request error has something to do with the cookie that is written
to, because I can go all the way through the app...

How can I access the request and response object for a page using
javascript. I want to stick some data on with something like
request.setAttribute( "User's choice for later use" ).
I can't seem to find a reference to request or response objects in
JavaScript either in Google Groups or O'Reilly's "JavaScript the Definitive
Guide" (surely it should be in the latter, huh?)
I know I could use a hidden form element but the data would be a...

I have a products catalogue that I'm putting online and there will be
between 20 to 50 different pages of products. Each page contains a datagrid
of products for a given category. However, the categories change from time
to time so the list of categories must be dynamic and database driven (as is
the menu used to select the category to load in the products page). The way
I see it there's 2 possible options. dynamically create each aspx...

I have a VB.Net program that consumes a web service. When calling the web
service from my program, I would like to be able to capture and evaluate the
request xml going out and the response xml that comes back. I think this is
very important in debugging (that's what I am doing now). But I couldn't
figour out how to do it. Could some one show me how to capture these files
from the client side?
Thanks a million!

I have a script that catches javascript errors and sends them through ajax to a specified file through the POST proticol. I want to write an ASP file which can read this xml file and act on its response. I have a CGI/PERL equivalent but i'm not sure how to read the xml file in asp neatly:
use CGI;
use CGI::Carp qw(set_progname);
use XML::Simple;
my $request = CGI->new();
my $method = $request->request_method();
# method must be POST...

I am writing a C# Windows service that calls methods on a remote web service
and would like to capture the XML returned by the web service. The reason I
need the raw XML is for back up to the sub-set of data I am saving to a
database.
All the posts I have found seem to assume one has access to both the client
and server applications but since the web service is remote, I can only
control the client side.
Any help in learning how to...

Hi all,
I am trying to use javascript to send an HTTP/post request to a server
multiple times continously. But the time used on the 1st and 2nd files
are longer than others. My idea is that because of the 3-way hand
shake, time to be used on transferring the first file shoule be 1 RTT
longer than that of others. But the results are different from what
I'm thinking of. I captured the packets via Wirshark and found out
that at the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
