I am developing a PHP-login script (on Lycos Tripod) that uses Session to
pass on variables. Below is the entire (stripped) structure that I use. It
opens a page where you can Set and Read the session variable BUT ... It
doesn't work!!! It seems that both set- and readlink open their own private
session.
How can I get the read-link to access the proper session variable?

I know this is probably easy but here is the details. I have an asp
page that is not inside a frameset. I want to post data to another asp
page that is inside a frameset. So firstpage.asp has
action="response.htm" target="results".
response.htm...
<HTML>
<FRAMESET ROWS="50%,50%">
<FRAME SRC="header.asp" NAME="fTop">

I am designing a site for a client where I have a frameset and 3
frames (all in ASP). I am creating session variables in the frameset
that need to be accessed in the frames. It seams that in Netscape
(4.75), the Frameset Session variables are not defined when accessed
in the frames. Why and how to fix this ?
Take these for example. The only session variable contents displayed
right are the ones defined in the actual frame.
This only...

I have been using session variables to pass a user name from one ASP
page to another inside framesets for 9 months and it stopped working
this week. I have made no code changes but there was a "security
update" installed on the server a few days ago but I can't find out
exactly what it was.
In the research I have done I found many articles on the subject of
session variables in ASP pages inside framesets. From what I read a
new...

I have noticed that the id of my session object changes
when I switch from a non-secure to a secure connection.
What I'm trying to do:
I have a cookie that is built on the non-secure side of
things. What I need to do is to switch to a secure
connection and then later on while still in that secure
connection delete the cookie that was created on the non-
secure side. I need to do this because I can not
reference the non-secure cookie...

Okay, so I know I'm doing two evil things: using Frames
and storing stuff in Session. I'm a sinner and I'll
repent after this project, I promise.
But for now, I've got an interesting issue.
In a site's Gobal.asax, I've written the following in
Session_OnStart:
Session.Add("Started",now.toString)

Hi Patrick!
Can you give an example of how to use a frameset inside an aspx-file?
When I create a new frameset in Visual Studio.Net it just gives me a htm-File.
Or give me a link where I can find one?
Thanks
Werner
P.S. Somehow I did not manage to do a followup in Googles newsgroups.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
