I'm trying to dynamically change the cursor of a couple of maps over an image. Basically the image is in an online photo system where there is a rotate mode. In this mode clicking on the left or right half of the image rotates it 90 degrees to the left or right. I want to change the cursor to indicate this but only while in the rotate mode. After looking at it in the Mozilla DOM inspector it seems as if the style is changing but neither...

Hi, I'm working on an application in C# that will allow the user to create simple CAD drawings on a CEPC system. I would like to be able to change the cursor shape depending on the drawing mode selected by the user. I started out by setting up P/Invokes for LoadCursor and SetCursor. Calling LoadCursor followed by SetCursor does allow me to change to a different cursor, such as the cross cursor, but as soon as the application leaves...

I have a .Net TextBox (TextBoxBase, really) in which I am appending about 20 lines of text per second. I use the AppendText() method to accomplish this. This is a great substitute for taking the Text property and concatenating it... Me.tb.Text &= newText ' Instead use Me.tb.AppendText(newText) ....ultimately setting the SelectionStart to the end of TextBox, the

I'm working on a TextBox control (in C# using .NET 2.0) that allows fields (like MS Office's mail merge feature). I want the editor to treat the field as though it was a single character. The user shouldn't be able to delete part of the field or select only part of the field. For example, a line might look like: «Image» shot on «Date» at «Resolution» where «Image» «Date» «Resolution» are all fields. My control inherits from...

I'm trying to change the cursor that appears on a standard ListView when the cursor appears over an item. However I am getting a flickering effect as the mouse is changed to a finger cursor, and then back to what I asked it to be. I'm trying to isolate this flicker/changing to the hand cursor but can't figure out where it's occuring or how to stop it. To replicate this... 1) Create a form with a ListView on it. 2) Add an image list and...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
