Highlighting an item in a combo's drop-down list

With the combo box in .Net, if you type text while the drop-down section is
displayed, it automatically scrolls through the list for the first applicable
item based on what you've typed. This is quite handy, but I think it would be
handier if that item in the drop-down section was highlighted. If you move
your mouse over the list section, you'll see that it highlights whichever
item it's over without actually selecting it - I would like this to have the
same effect.

Any ideas?

Hello, I need to extend functionality of ASP.NET datagrid. Onmouse over, the whole row needs to be highlighted. OnClick highlighted color must remain, and the value of one of the columns must be set to innerHTML property of a <div> tag (no postBack). Has anyone done anything like that?

Hi all, Could you tell me the best way to add a blank item(as first item) in a data binded combo box? Because I think I didn't do it right and it generate an error if the second item(after the top blank item) is selected by using Combo.SelectedValue : "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: '-2147483648' is not a valid value for 'index'.

I have a data bound combo box. The combo box displays several items (status code descriptions). After the combo box is bound, I want to set the combo box so that the "Draft" status is displayed by default. Since the data originally comes from a database I don't know which position in the combo box it will be and I don't want to hardcode the status_code field (I want to select the combo box item based upon status_desc). ...

Hi, I'm using two menu controls. One is displayed at the top of the page. The other menu is displayed on the left side using a single site map. The top menu is for displaying level 1. The left menu is for displaying level 2. These are all displaying just fine. That is when a menu item is selected on the top, left menu reflects the submenu for the selected item. The only problem I'm having is to get the top menu to have a highlighted...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
