set the focus in a vb.net form to a checkbox control...
In my form I have (on a tab page in a tab control) several textboxes
and a checkbox. The behaviour I want from my app is as follows:-
When the textbox (which is prior in tab order to the tab control) has
been filled with a certain length of text by the user, the focus is

Hope somebody can help!
I want to automatically be able to add code to the initialize routine on a Windows form when I add a custom control that I've written to a form.
Specifically, I'm trying to data bind to a normal class. So I've extended the standard text box to include a field for object name and property name. I want to be able to add a line such as :
controlname.DataBindings.Add("Text", objectName, "myPropertyName")
I've...

Hello!
I have a very specific question and that is about how to inherit a control
for example the control System.Windows.Forms.TextBox without causing the
environment to delete the control when there are some compile errors. It's
the same problem with any visual control that you inherit. The control is
deleted as soon as you use the View Designer when there is compile error.
It's very easy to reproduce my problem. You can do it in...

I've made a form with a variable number of textboxes. The user fills
them
out, and then I need to pick up the values he has filled in. The number
of textboxes vary depending on a value that the user filled in in
another page. But suppose there were 3 values. In that case, I know
the names of the
fields, they are
MyTextBox1
MyTextbox2
MyTextbox3

Hi there!
I'm trying to write a simple JavaScript that will move the cursor to the next TextBox after 5 characters (or numbers) have been entered. I'm attempting to get this working in all browsers and realize that I'll likely have to write more than one script depending on which the user is using.
Anyways, everything I've tried...I've only come up with something that "sort of" works in IE (only).
The cursor will be moved to the next...

I am creating a data entry form to enter results of a student survey.
There are 40 questions on the survey. The first 7 have to do with
respondent information like grade, class and age. I have those in a
table with a PK of RespondentId, which is autonumbered. Questions 8-40
all have the same format. For these questions I have a table set up

Hi,
When the length of a textbox in a form exceeds the length of the
corresponding field, i get an error message ("string or binary data will be
truncated .... ") and the aplication stops.
I know i can check the lenght in code-behind, but is there no way to let
asp.net truncate inputted data automatically and not let it stop the
application and show that error message?

In Access 2007, I'm using bound textboxes on a continuous form to display the contents of each record's memo field. Is there a way to automatically adjust the textbox height to fit the contents?
Thanks in advance.

I've created a textbox control on a userform and I am trying to figure out how to make the text populate to a worksheet range in sequence automatically. I've figued out how to get the text that the user types in to populate in a specific range, but I'd like each entry from the user to populate on the next cell below the previous entry automatically. I've used .showdataform to do this, but I want the userform to be customized rather than using...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
