Hello all,
I’m looking for some general information about sharing the session but
haven’t found any resources that confirm my conceptions. All the discusisons
about sharing the session revolve around services and SQL
It appears possible to run multiple servers off one servers InProc provided
the stateConnectionString is configured properly, true?
Also it appears if InProc is used, data does not need to be serialiazble,
true?

Hi All,
I am trying to share the session between classic ASP and
ASP.Net application. For session sharing I used the
method available on this link:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?
url=/library/en-us/dnaspp/html/ConvertToASPNET.asp
I would like to know if this method works in Web Farm
Scenario also.

I realized that when SqlServer mode is used for session management
Session_End event is not fired in global.asax.
What can I do if I want to do something when a user's session end?
Thanks

I have a web app. running on a dual processor with 1GB RAM and SQL 200 Database
At any one time there can be around 20/30 users accessing it through the web interfac
performing tasks such as searching through DataSets, and a further 20/30 users performin
Replication using HandHeld Devices with SQL CE
From a web app. point of view I tend to use InProc Session State quite a lot to hold m
DataSets, etc. I'm aware of the different Session...

Simple question, I think...
I'm storing an object in the Session object.
In the code behind I read that object: trx = CType(Session("Transaction"), BOCSTransaction)
If I change any properties, I have to store it back into the session object to "update" it, right? Or will the changes to my object automatically be saved back into the session object?
Thanks,
Jerry

Hello,
I am currently deploying an ASP .NET based web application via Visual
Studio 2005 (so I am using .NET 2.0 technology). The two questions I have
are with regards to session state in ASP.NET. The first one is how secure is
keeping login information in sessionstate using the inproc model and a cookie
configuration? The second question I have relating to session states is for
an inproc based sessionstate configuration what would be...

Hello,
This is a follow-up to my earlier post about having issues with our
application pool recycling. We currently use Session State InProc, but if I
were to choose to move the existing application to SQL instead, would the
only change in the application be the SessionState setting within
web.config? I know I'd also need to setup our MS SQL database to handle
sessions (detailed in MS Article 317604), but outside of this, is there...

I've been on this for a while, and cannot figure it out. Can someone please
help with this message?
SessionState can only be used when EnableSessionState is set to true, either
in a configuration file or in the page directive. Please also make sure that
System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in
the <configuration><system.web><httpModulessection in the application
configuration.
Here is my current...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
