This may be the wrong group but I didn't see anything for VC++ so I'm
trying here.
I have a C++ book by Deitel and Deitel that says I can use fstream
File("data.dat", ios::in | ios::out | ios::binary) to declare a file
object with read/write modes turned on for working with binary data.
I've tried this and my file is not created. The only time it is created

game, and can be edited within the web page. Is there a way I can
generate a visible copy of this array that I can then c&p into a file? I
think the best solution would be to write into a popup window (this

For example, let's say a target web page is full of links, text, images,
forms, etc. and I want to present a simple page containing just the links.
The original page is not "mine", that is, I can't just edit it in

I have a multi-page site that I want to be able to resume at the same
page if the user leaves and comes back later (say, days later). I'm
thinking that I'll set a cookie as each page is displayed and when the
main/first page displays, I'll look for the cookie and open the page it
names. If a new version of the site omits a page that used to exist or
if the cookie somehow becomes corrupt, I don't want to display an error

My problem is following: in the HTML source I have an <XML> tag,
containing an XML document. I am trying to read this XML and save it, but
I have problem saving it in the same form as it is in the HTML source.

How about "browse for folder" dialog? Can html/javascript do that? I
couldn't find any syntax for that. If not, please advise what are the

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
