Problem with Dynamic class loading.

hi,
I am facing a wierd problem with dyanamic class loading.
I have a namespace called ETS.DAO which contains my
Data Access Object classes. All these classes implement a
common interface which is also in the same namespace.
I have a namespace ETS.Controller which contain my
comtroller classes.
My Web client instantiates the controller who in turn
fires appropriate methods on the DAOs.
In the controller i am using dynamic class loading to
load DAOs. The loading is happening fine. But the
Assembly.Create Instance() returns an object. When I try to
typecast this object into the interface type i get an
error "Invalid cast".

The same code is working find when i use a windows forms
client.

Could somebody please tell me if I am missing something.

thanks in advance

I have an application that I would like third party developers to be able to create Plug-ins that will be dynamically loaded into our application to extend functionality. I have utilized the "Let Users Add Functionality to Your .NET Applications with Macros and Plug-Ins" article at MSDN for the dynamic loading of DLLs http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/03/10/Plug-Ins/default.aspx

I have been trying to build python on Cray X1. As far as I can tell it does not support dynamic loading. So the question is: How to build 2.4 without dynamic loading? That is: can I build 2.4 where all the extensions are archived in libpython2.4.a as a static library? Building on the Cray X1 is slow, so I have been trying to also build it under Linux without dynamic loading since it

All the usual Newbie stuff applies... I have a Windows2000 Server with ActivePerl and a module (DBD-Interbase) that worked fine. Trying to duplicate the environment on Windows2003 Server for future upgrade, and this module won't work (other Perl scripts in IIS6 are OK, just not this Interbase module, which is critical). The error comes from Dynaloader.pm file, which I've read through, and it says that it's a generic message about external...

Hi, I can load an assembly using the Assembly.Load(....) However, I'd like dynamic loading of assemblies to be identical to putting an assembly reference in your VS2005 project. and yes, I know about the unloading problems. Let's say I don't care for the moment. If I have an assemlbly file at "c:\\assembly.dll" - how do I load it at runtime as if it were references in the project at build time? I know

ASP.NET 2.0 Web Application Project. I have a class called "SuperPage" that inherits from the System.Web.UI.Page class. In SuperPage, I 1. Override OnInit (do somecustom Session setup) 2. Override Render (add some controls in the page header, add some style stuff, etc) I made a new web page that inherits from SuperPage. I create a treeview in codebehind, and an empty datagrid in codebehind, and add

Hi. This is just a disaster management question. I am using XMLHTTP for the dynamic loading of content in a very crucial area of my web site. Same as an IFrame, but using XMLHTTP and a DIV. I got the core of the javascript from here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxcontent.htm I noticed in the demo that sometimes the content takes a long

I need a simple object serialization, where loading an object from file looks like this: Foo* foo1 = FooFactory::create("./saved/foo1.a321f23d"); Foo* foo2 = FooFactory::create("./saved/foo2.eb287ac8"); Now, Foo is an abstract base class, and FooFactory contains a static function which again calls static create functions on Foo1 or Foo2 (see code for all classes below). The problem is that all these functions are static, but I also...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
