Our solution contains multiple projects, on some of the
larger projects it appears IntelliSense is locking the
output DLLs and we get the dreaded "Could Not Copy
Temporary Files to the Output Directory" error.
We've followed the guidance provided in this KB
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;313512 but so far the only solution appears to be
restarting VS.NET 2003

I've tried everything and I've come to the conclusion that I'm screwed. If
anyone can help, I would be eternaly greatful.
I have a solution which has 47 projects.. This is includes (very roughly) :
1- plain win32 C++ DLL projects (little over a dozen, refered to as BASE
OBJECTS)
2- ATL/COM/C++ DLLs which use the plain win32 DLLs (another dozen, refered
to as COM WRAPPERS)

Hi,
i have an ASP.NET project that is using a (Class Library Project) VB.NET DLL.
for some reason after running some pages on the web server, and trying to compile the Class Library DLL, it can't compile because the DLL is in use (and the PDB too), and the w3wp.exe process is the process locking the DLL (as viewed with Sysinternals - Process Explorer).
this is a huge problem. i need to do IIS reset in order to free the DLL!

development server (W2003) and installed them under wwwroot (and created
applications in IIS) I have problems when I include the corresponding asp.net
projects in a solution. They build fine but when attempting debug (via F5) I
get "Load of property 'Output Path' failed. The 'Output Path' must be under

'D:\CDI_CORONA\CDITools\Admin\AdminClassLibrary\obj\Debug\AdminClassLibrary.

We have a recurring problem where a (long-running) service throws an
exception while trying to access a file. The problem is that this is
very rare (happens once every week and without warning) but does happen
time to time. We are trying ways to find which other process is holding

I'm having trouble copying DLLs from a folder in my project to the
project's output directory.
I have copied seven SQL CE DLLs (the SqlCe*.dll set) to a Libs folder
in my project. The DLLs VS 2008 file properties are set as follows:
Build Action: Content
Copy to Output Directory: Always
When I compile, the DLLs don't copy to the output directory.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
