Hi,
i'm thinking to implement an MCMS 2002 site. I have this requirement from
the client: use portlet technology for inserting new services.
I have no idea if mcms and asp.net could be considered "compliant" with
portlet technology.
Could you please explain me which is the possible solutions?
Thanks 5 4196
Hi Mem,
You can go with MCMS 2002 and ASP.NET.
Have a look at these two links. You will get to know more about this. http://www.microsoft.com/cmserver/de...troduction.asp http://www.microsoft.com/sharepoint/
Suggestions are most welcome..

Yes, but i don't understand wht you "link" "portlet" with sharepoint..
I thougth that portlet are not supported by microsoft. I'm mistaking?
Or you are talking about this?
I know that this year a WSRP Web Part Toolkit hase been released taht
includes a ready-to-install 'consumer' component that displays WSRP portlet
services provided by a variety of vendors within Web Part pages hosted by
Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Portal Server 2003. This is a Web
Part capable of consuming and rendering output from Web services conforming
to the OASIS standard for Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP).
Is it possible to use this web-parts in a MCMS 2002 site instead of
sharepoint site?
Mcms templates ar aspx files, so i should be able to add web part in ASP.NET
pages or not?
Thanks.

I'm looking for an open-source CMS which has the concept of
customizable content types and categories. It ideally needs to run on
a LAMP platform.
To give a specific example, part of the site I want to build will have
a discography for a recording artist so I'd like to be able to create
a "recording" content type which would have fields such as artist,
title, label etc etc. I'd then like to be able to build lists of this
content type...

I've written some python scripts to handle different tasks on my Windows

(kind of like a dashboard) but have the scripts run on the web server
(also a Windows box).
Can anyone recommend a way (web server / language / method) of doing
this?
Security is important since this page will be accessible inside the
company, but only people with the appropriate user name /...

How much are you interested that the attribute "style" will offer the
same or similar capabilities like they are provided by the element
"style" in the element "head"?
Do you want that the document "Syntax of CSS rules in HTML's "style"
attribute" (http://www.w3.org/TR/css-style-attr) will become an
official recommendation in the near future?
Best regards,

I have a portal application that uses UserControls as "portlets" inside the
portal. One feature of the portal is the ability to maximize and minimize
portlets, just like you would applications in windows. So far, so good.
The problem is this. When a portlet is minimize, or when it is "behind"
another maximized portlet, there is still quite a bit of server side
processing going on. In order to preserve viewstate for the hidden/minimized...

Does anyone know whether it is possible/advisable/stable to call
aspnet_wp.exe from a process besides the inetinfo.exe or dllhost.exe?
For example, is there a way of passing the form parameters in and
getting the response output?
Many thanks,

hello.
i'm trying to convert a site i work on to be "ajax enabled"
so far basically working out, but i have an issue that has me stumped.
we have a page that is basically a control panel that is made up of a
bunch of portlets that are nothing more than controls on an asp page.
each portlet is basically a grid. so the page has 5 boxes on it (each
being a control "ascx" file)
each of these portlets/controls, the hidden fields are...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
