how to configure platform SDK in VC++express

I have downloaded & installed both VC++ express and the platform SDK.
Now I want to compile some win32 source code but it doesn't, it don't find
the headers.
Now I guess I could add the PlatformSDK's lib & include directories in my
project.

But the problem is, unfortunately everything is intsalled on the F: drive
and I would like to share my project with a friend.
And I would like him to just have to hit 'F5' and run the project.
So I wonder if there is a way to configure VC++ express and the platform SDK
so that if my project goes on some else's computer who also happen to have
VC++ express and the platform SDK it just runs!

Is there a way to do that?

Lloyd:

You should be adding these paths to the Visual Studio Application, not
to an individual project. The way to do this is not so obvious if you do
not know where to look (like many things, in VC6 it was very
intuitive..). But here is the closely guarded secret:

Tools->Options->Projects->VC++ Directories

Actually, this is in Visual Studio 2003; hope it's the same in 2005.

I'm used to make a DLL with GCC where it's rather simple (tag your function with __decl(dllexport) andf that's it). How do I do the same thing with VC++ express? I try to show a friend how to use his legacy C library with .NET. I rather do everything in VC++ for a change instead of compiling with makefile & gcc. In my project I plan to create a C++/CLR Winform project And a 'native dll' project

VC# express painfully keeps freezing everytime I save. Now I know maybe I should try to work for a while without saving.... But I would be happy to know if there is a way to turn on/off intellisense explicitelly. Not too mention it doesn't work that well anyway....

it's only 2 hours I'm using it and I'm already mad from it's unproductivity feature. - my most hated feature being: you can't save your file (because it's used by VC# express). Very typicall after a failed build there are minor ones as well kind of, such as: - take 20 seconds to save a file. => which gives: before compiling spend 10 minutes saving files

Hello, I developed my previous project (an MFC project with managed extensions) on VC.NET standard edition, it took some time to configure it but eventually it worked. Now I'm configuring a new machine with VC express. 1.I installed SP 1. 2. I copied the project to this new machine. 3. I followed the tutorial on configuring the SDK, i.e 3.1 Changed the build paths (LIB, etc...)

Gang, I am self taught in C and fairly proficient for last 20 years. Don't program much, just little utilities for work. Been wanting to create windows forms and found MS VC++ Express. Installed it, bought book, etc. Book doesn't cover files. From other sources I have the following: #pragma once #include <string> #include <fstream>

I copied some code from a Mono 2.4 library to use in my own application. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
