After starting a Windows Forms Application developed with VS 2005 Prof
Beta 2, built in "Release" mode, I get
"An unhandled exception of type 'System.TypeInitializationException' "
When buildung in "Debug" mode, the application runs fine.
Can anybody tell me whats wrong?

Can someone explain why this code pops up a messagebox saying the
ThreadAbortException wasn't handled?
The first exception is reported only in the debug pane, as expected.
The second (caused by thread.Abort()) is reported twice: once in the debug
window, and once through the message box.
Is it because the thread was sleeping when the exception occurred?

attempted to incorporate the features he talks about in a new application I'm
writing. However, when I try to use ThreadStart to do some work in a separate

here is some background:
I am using the MQSeries/Websphere .Net classes provided by Microsoft.
The Websphere Windows Client software is required in order to use the
..Net classes. However, I would like to warn users that they need this
software, otherwise they will get a TypeInitializationException ("The
type initializer for 'IBM.WMQ.MQTrace' threw an exception.").

Hi all,
I am getting the error "The type initializer for "MyExeName.LibraryName" threw an exception."
where liraryName Class have the Static constructor and the private constructor.I had a little quest over this and observed that the exception occurs
When a class initializer fails to initialize a type . I also observed that it occurs mostly with the static constructors.

Hi everybody,
I'm working on my application for appr. 2 years and now suddenly I got an
System.TypeInitializationException in one of my global modules. The error is
thrown at the first call of a subroutine out this module.
The code I was programming isn't related in any way with this module and I
even hadn't loaded this module into the dev. enviroment the first time the
