Hi.
I'm using a 3 tier FrontController Design for my web application right
now.
The problem is that I'm finding to have to duplicate a lot of code for
similar functions; for example, listing users, and listing assignments
use similar type commands. Is there a "better" way I can organize my
code?

I'm writing a large Javascript application (uncompressed source around
400K) which is doing almost all the initialisation it needs to in a
just-in-time manner. However, I have included an option for almost all
of this to be done when the application first starts.
Under this circumstance, and since the last few nightly builds of
Mozilla, I've been getting:

First off, I apologize if this gets long. I'm simply trying to give you all
enough information to help me out. I'm writing (almost finished, actually),
my first VB.Net application. It's a forms application that is going to be
used to extract data from a legacy system (VSAM based mainframe file
structure), and output data in pipe-delimited record layouts, multiple record
types per file, one file per chosen client. I have been working on...

I have a datagrid control within a datalist control. When
I try and do a "Find" on the control, the object comes
back with nothing and then my pgm crashes. I am 100% sure
that my datagird inside my datalist has an id
of "Datagrid3". dgChild comes back with "Nothing" while
debugging.
Here is my code in the itemdatabound event for the
datalist:

Hi,
I used to chage my code during debugging with Visual Studio 2003 (I just
stopped the code using a break point and VS2003 allowed me to change the
code, and continue debugging), but now with Visual Studio 2005 I am not able
to do it.
Can anyone tell me how I need to configure VS2005 so it allow me to change
code during debugging?

There is a Linux forum that I frequent from time to time on which I
mentioned a couple of scripts that I wrote. The editors of a small
Linux magazine heard and found them interesting enough to ask me to
write an article about them. I accepted gladly, of course. I wrote
the article and submitted it and I was told to look for it on the
January issue. Sounds good, right?
The thing is I am starting to get a little nervous about it. You...

What's the best way to debug code that is being run during garbage
collection?
We are getting AccessViolationExceptions that seem to be happening
during garbage collection. But when it hits the debugger, it is at whatever
line of code the main thread was at when the garbage collector decided to
run. In other words, the debugger is in irrelevant code.
In general, if you have bugs in Dispose or finalization methods, what's the
best...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
