Hi all,
I have asked this question already, but this
time I will ask it a different way.
My MSDE service is running fine. However,
when I try and browse my list of servers
I get two exceptions thrown. One for
system.net.dns

Has anyone encountered the error message "Can not open any more databases"

My system is near finished, it is something quite basic where the
users interfer with the data via forms.
I want to limit my groups in what they can SEE from the database.
Like, I want my average users (groupe name: USERS) to only be able to
see one form, from where they will be provided with everything they
need for work, they won't see the macros, the table etc.. I also have
a second group (group name: RESP) that only need to see...

As an old programmer just now looking at VB.net I have a question:
How does one simply open one form from another ? I don't mean how does one
create a new instance of that form , but rather how to refer to THAT form ?
And having done this, how does one get data to and from that form ?
I have read the MS tutorial on this but it is senselessly complex; there
must be a simple, straightforward method, or I can only assume that MS has...

I can't make this script work properly. I've gone as far as I can with
it and the rest is out of my ability. I can do some html editing but
I'm lost in the Java world. The script at the bottom of the html page
controls the form fields that are required. It doesn't function like
it's supposed to and I can leave all the fields blank and it still
submits the form. Also I can't get it to transfer the file in the
upload section. The file name...

the document and place it as an OLE object to the relevant table?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to access, with the help of this site and google I've managed to find my way around (even dabbling with some VB too) but there's something that's got me stuck.
I've got my DB working great, it's got the standard switchboard generated via the switchboard manager. I've got a load of forms and reports on there so I'd like to use a combo box to open up my forms rather than the buttons. For example I've got five forms I'd...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
