How to identify the parent of a child element?

The implementation I am working with has several child elements that have
the same name; <link> for example. When the XML is loaded into a tree
control and a click event is used on a node in the tree how do I know which
parent the child is related to? I need to populate the NavigateUrl property
of the tree control with that value.

Hi all, I am trying to write a Binary Search Tree that each of its node will have 3 node pointers: left, right and parent. I need a parent pointer for some the purpose of my project. Without the pointer to the parent node, the program will be inefficient and slow. It works fine at first. However, when I started to build the remove function, it destroys the tree when I delete a node. I already changed the parent pointer whenever I delete a...

Hi, My problem: Merging two datasets deletes parent elements, preserves all children. I've created two dataSets. Each use the same schema, parent-child nested tables. The first dataSet is loaded with historical data read from an XML file. The second dataSet has current data filled from a dataGrid.

Hello everyone, any help would be greatly appreciated. :) What I'm trying to do may not be advisable, but here goes... I want a page named signature.php to appear conditionally as an include within another include so that it will, for example, appear in index.php but not in other result pages that use the same top level include. The method would need to determine what page it is inside of

I have a simple treeview (treeview1) to which I have added two nodes (nodeA and nodeB) which have n levels of child nodes. What I want is to be able to identify whether the child node I select is under NodeA or NodeB. I can do this by splitting the selectednode.fullpath of the child node but there must be a better way. Can any kind soul can enlighten me?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
