All I wanted to do was implement a web service where I'd receive an
XML document and return one in response. I'd already figured out how
to use XmlReader and XmlWriter classes to do the XML work I need to
do. And all that fancy ASP.NET serialization really got in my way.
Reading articles by Yasser Shohoud, Tim Ewald, and Matt Powell led me
down many promising paths, along the way writing an XSD schema file
for my messages, trying to...

Hi!
I am trying SOAP with DIME attachments in web services. The web
service sends the file as attachment say "test.doc", and the client
has to read that and populate it in a textbox control. I had asked
this question earlier, and got the reply that the data is tranferred
in binary format on the wire. I read the stream, and convert it to
string, but I get some junk characters in my textbox. I am writing my
code below, so that you can see...

Hi!
is there any way to to upload a file as a soap-attachment???
I have written a jscript function that handles all form-data, packs it up into one xml-file and sends it off to the server.
before the latest MS security patch, the one that disabled adodb.stream object, this also worked nicely for upload-files (<input type=file>). I just read the file from the users harddisk using the adodb.stream activeXObject, read it into a an xml-node...

I can set up a web service that can listen for me to send a POST from a
client? like so
Client sends http POST to http://www.mysite.com/processTheRequest. The

Can I override the send and receive methods on a web service proxy?
I want to use the default proxy classes generated when I add a reference to
a web service to create and read the SOAP messages when I call a method… but,
I would like to replace the send and receive with my own code so I could send
the Soap message to an EMS queue and get the response SOAP from another queue
instead of calling the web service.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
