DimeAttachment dimeFile = new DimeAttachment("application/DIME",
TypeFormatEnum.MediaType, @"c:\temp\" + filename);
sc.Attachments.Add(dimeFile);

I have a perl web service (using SOAP::Lite) with a method called
"Detail" that returns a strucure (hash reference to be exact). It
works fine when consumed by a Perl client, but when I try to consume
it with a C# application, I get the following runtime error from C#:
Cannot assign object of type System.Xml.XmlNode to an object of
type ConsoleApplication1.com.hilton.crmdev.SummaryType.
Below is the Perl code that generates the hash,...

I am having a problem with formatting a SOAP Header in a .Net client. The
client calls a Java Axis 1.1 based web service. In order to authenticate the
caller, the web service call is intercepted by another web service that
validates a security token in the header.
I have pasted my current SOAP message that my code sends as captured from a
trace function that I added. Below that is a sample SOAP message that the
developer of the web...

I've seen a couple posts by people having similar problems, but the
suggested solutions I've tried so far haven't worked.
I'm using a SOAP client in VB.Net (constructed by wsdl.exe) and the
third party web service it's consuming is served by Axis. The request
messages my client sends are processed fine by the server, and the SOAP
response is making its way to my client - but when .Net finishes
processing the message I end up with an...

Slightly different situation from the question of the 11/18/05 but the same
error.
(I'm just learning about web services so this is based on a 'quick tutorial')
I'm running a web service using Axis and want to consume it with a .NET
client.
So I've created the web proxy using wsdl.exe and I can call the service and
it responds but the client returns null.
If I run a Java client then it gets the response fine and dandy.
The web service...

Dear all,
I am having trouble generating a client proxy for a webservice whose
methods return a "complex" type. The type is complex in that it is a
class whose members are a mix of primitive types and of more elaborate
classes implementing IXmlSerializable. The resulting WSDL file for the
webservice has two separate schemas in its <types> sections, and the
client proxy (generated with wsdl.exe) is missing the definitions of
the...

I got to write a c# client will ask a SOAP::Lite server for a list of data. In the request I have to send the following attributes:

I'm having an issue calling a java-based web service from a C#/.NET
2.0 client that uses WSE 3.0. (No WCF)
There is an operation on the web service that takes a single base64
encoded parameter that is transported as a MTOM mime part in a
multipart request.
The web service provider has sent me a trace of a successful SOAP
request and I have traced my SOAP request and I do not see any
differences other than differences in how the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
