PHP4.3.2, GD2 - I have found to my great dismay and consternation that if I
load a jpg image , then save it as a PNG, the
resulting PNG will actually work in a browser, but it can't be loaded again
by imagecreatefrompng(...), and if I try to open it with a graphics program,
like Paint Shop Pro, it tells me that it is no a legitament PNG file and
refuses to load it.
Likewise, if I start with a legit PNG (works with PSP), and save as a...

Hi
I am devlopeing a data centric intranetsite with data in mysql
database
I would like your opinion on this architecture
Data will be fetched from database by python & converted into xml
The XSLT will be stored on the client cache. So only the xml is
transferred to client & the xslt transforms it into xhtml & displays
it.
Will this improve performance or have i gone nuts??

I have an XML file that stores data from an HTML form. I use XSL to
display the data in HTML format. The data may have newline characters.
However, XSL is not displaying the newlines properly in the browser.
I even replaced all the newlines with <BR/> tags but eventhough I see
the tags in my source, I don't get a line break in the output document.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there,
mmmm does anyone know a library or anything I can use to convert
plaintext to html real quick and vice-versa? Regex surely would do the
trick to a certain level, but maybe there's already a useful library out
there which I might have a look at..
Thanks,

I have a nasty situation in SQL Server 7.0. I have a table, in which
one column contains a string-delimited list of IDs pointing to another
table, called "Ratings" (Ratings is small, containing less than ten
values, but is subject to change.) For example:
1/Bronze
2/Silver
3/Gold
4/Platinum

L.S.,
I'm trying to make a layout which is completely fixed in width and
height if needed by using three divs rows (header, content, footer)
which have each 3 div again to be able to play around better with the
webdesign.
The problem is that I need the content div row to nudge up
automatically to the header div row, independantly of the header
height. The same goes for the footer/content div row.

Since the include function is called from within a PHP script, why
does the included file have to identify itself as a PHP again by
enclosing its code in <?php... <?>
One would assume that the PHP interpreter works like any other, that
is, it first expands all the include files, and then parses the
resulting text. Can anyone help with an explanation?
Thanks,

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
