Change Namespace Prefix

Is there a way to change the namespace prefix of a document? I am sending a
document to an application that requires that every element be prefixed with
"sm". My inbound document has every element prefixed with "ns0". Is there
way to do this without looping through every node?

Thanks,
Frank

I'd say that's poorly developed application. In XML namespace prefix
never make any semantical difference, it's usually said that prefix
doesn't matter, what matter is only namespace URI.

XSLT can do that easily. But XmlReader/XmlWriter pipe would be more
effective here.

I am curious as to the rationale, and effect, of having default namespaces not applying (directly) to attributes (see http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml-names/#defaulting). Given an attribute without a namespace prefix, what is its namespace, if default namespaces do not apply? Are (either of) prefixed or non-prefixed attributes correct? For example, are the following equivalent: <html:br class="foo"...

I have discovered that when the WSDL is auto-generated in .NET (i.e. http://.../MyService.asmx?WSDL): * Prior to SP1, it generated xmlns:s0="http://mynamespace/" in <wsdl:definitions>, and then output my web methods as "s0:MyWebMethod" in <wsdl:message> sections * At SP1, it generates xmlns:tns="http://mynamespace/" in <wsdl:definitions>, and then output my web methods as "tns:MyWebMethod" in <wsdl:message> sections

Hi, I've got a question on namespaces. After reading http://www.w3.org/TR/xml-names11 I still don't understand how namespaces are applied to attributes - particularly in regard to how processing applications are supposed to determine the proper validation DTD. In the following XML: ------------- <?xml version="1.0" ?>

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
