Unrecognized Data Type in SOAP Envelope

My objective is to send a SOAP formatted request to a web method hosted by the M.S. TerraServer. I use the HTTP Post method. I also use the HttpWebRequest object to build the request.
The problem is that I get the wrong answer. In this case I get incorrect coordinates. I can use different inputs and get the same result. I suspect I might be formatting the data types incorrectly. Here is the SOAP Envelope

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envel ope
xmlns:soap="htt p://schemas.xmlsoap .org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsi="http ://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xsd="http ://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soa p:Body soap:encodingSt yle="http://schemas.xmlsoap .org/soap/encoding/"><s0:ConvertLo nLatPtToUtmPt xmlns:s0="http://terraserver-usa.com/terraserver/" ><s0:point xsi:type="s0:Lo nLatPt"><Lon xsi:type="xsd:d ouble">-106.21</Lon><Lat xsi:type="xsd:d ouble">34.30</Lat></s0:point></s0:ConvertLonLa tPtToUtmPt></soap:Body></soap:Envelope

Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?

Hi, As was pointed out whatever you return from a WebMethod needs to be serializable to SOAP. An ArrayList is not serializable. I will be needing to return other data types from web methods. Is there a document, or can some one list those types that are not serializable and the syntax for converting them? Thanks

Hi! I'm working with a C# client that calls a php web service. I've created a wrapper to call the service using .NET wsdl tool (adding a web reference). The call to the server works fine, it is serialized correctly, and the server returns a response (I've captured the response and it's correct!) but when the .NET deserialize this response, it throws the exception "System.InvalidOperationException: There is an error in XML

I get the following Exception "The data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 642" whenever I try to deserialize an incoming SOAP message. The incoming message is formed well and its length is 642 bytes ( I have appended it to the end of this message). I suspect that the reason may have something to do with an incorrect declaration of which class to de-serialize to. In the attached code I substituted @@@@@@@ in the code below with...

Hello one and all. I have recently been working outside of my field of expertise alot, and it is greatly distressing me. I have learned a small amount of php and actionscript, but now need to move into the realm of asp. I have been supplied this script in asp classic by the web service administrator as an example, but i have no idea how to use it in conjunction with a html POST form. 1. Should the form be put within the same page? ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
