Self Validate

I have a class which inherits from XmlDocument. Inside it has a public
method which builds the xml after properties have been set. My question is
how would I make this class validate itself against a schema? One of the
documents attributes is

xmlns:schemaLoc ation=http://www.irs.gov/efile C:\Schema.xsd"

Is this line part of what is needed to validate? I'm coding in VB, any
sample is appreciated.

Unfortunately the only way to validate in-memory XmlDocument is to
serialize it to string and then validate it using XmlValidatingRe ader as
usual.
Something like
XmlTextReader r = new XmlTextReader(n ew StringReader(do c.OuterXml));
XmlValidatingRe ader vr = new XmlValidatingRe ader(r);
vr.ValidationTy pe = Validationtype. Schema;
while (vr.Read());
