Use a SqlDataAdapter to get to the table and then call FillSchema() to fill
a DataSet with the metadata. Then call WriteXmlSchema( ) or GetXmlSchema()
to access the data as a schema document. See FillSchema() in the SDK for
more details.

Also note that if you have VS.NET (not sure if all versions have this
functionality) you can use the Server Explorer to drag a table onto the
design surface. An XSD schema will automatically be generated for you which
can then be used for a typed DataSet if needed.

When a table has multiple layers of column and/or row headings, as we know, there are a couple of options for making the table accessible. Using a *scope* attribute is fine as long as the number of column levels or row levels doesn't exceed two, since you can only specify "col" and "colgroup" as scope values in the former case, and "row" or "rowgroup" in the latter. Then there's the use of *id*, *headers*, and *axis*. For most purposes, I...

I have a table server control (System.Web.UI.WebControls.Table) on my form that has three columns. Sometimes I need the second column to be invisible, sometimes the third. How can I set a column to be invisible in code? There appears to not be a programmatic way to work with columns in the way that there is rows. Thanks. --Susan

I have a Table server control with several link buttons. How do I generate the click events for each of these controls? I can't double click on them or go into the properties of the linkbuttons to generate the event like I usually do using VS.NET and C#. I could explicitly type out the event handler into the InitializeComponent() method, but that usually makes VS.NET freak out down the line when I start messing with the web designer...

We are wanting to use ibuyspy portal as our website. Load content into HTML and change the stylesheet. We see this as very attractive since frequently changed pages can be done in MS word and converted to HTML and then their source put into the portal modules. Some problems we have run into: - Our current web site is made in Macromedia Dreamweaver. The dreamweaver automatically manages links for you. How can we do that for ibuyspy...

Hello all, I'm a novice Javascript programmer, and I'm having browser compatability issues regarding dynamic generation of tables. The following content generates "hello" in Firefox 1.5, but just a blank page in IE 6. Can anybody tell me what I should change to make IE happy? Even better, is there any kind of tutorial out there on dynamically generating tables? Many thanks,

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
