Hello all,
I am writing a script where I need to use the system() function to call
htpasswd. I can do this just fine on the command line...works great
(see attached file, test.php). When my webserver runs that part of the
script (see attached file, snippet.php), though, it doesn't go through.
I don't get an error message or anything...it just returns a "1"
(whereas it should return a "0") as far as I can tell. I have read the

Dear Newsgroupers,
The 'main' page contains a call to a function in an included file. This
function puts a html-form on the screen. Before the form gets posted (to the
'main' page) some prior errorchecking is done. The form fields are then sent
and an object is created (all in the same function).
What I need ( imo ) is an array with objects that can be written later to a
dbfile to preserve.
But I cannot find a solution for the...

I was wondering if anyone has suggested having Python determine
a method's kind from its first parameter. 'self' is a de facto
reserved word; 'cls' is a good indicator of a class method
( __new__ is a special case ). The closest to this I could find

I was wondering if there is any way to use XSLT2 or maybe even XQuery
with "normal" CPython. Using Saxon/XSLT2 with Jython is no problem (I
have not tried Saxon.NET with IronPython but suspect no problem?) but I
could not find any way to use XSLT2 or XPath Features with CPython. All
the usual suspects 4suite or libxslt (via lxml) seem to have no support
yet. Is there any hope I oversaw something?
