I had to reload mysql 4.0.17 on to a Fedora Core machine that was previously
working in the same configuration. Now though I can't get the server to run
with the either of the following commands:
../mysql.server start - the command line reappears with no error but no
running process in the system monitor
/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe -user=mysql - this command does not return
to the command prompt so when I hit the enter key I get...

thing - I can't startup the SDK documentation from it. To get the SDK doco I
have to startup IE on the "...\SDK\StartHere.htm", and then click the link to
the SDK doco. The item linked to is

How do I see, from within my main method, in what context my assembly,
containing my service program, is executed ??
I want to be able to detect if the assembly is executed by the service
system (say started from the Services applet) or if it was executed from a
command line (in which case the service won't start).

This has been driving me insane for the last hour or so. I have search
everywhere, and nothing works. I am trying to use the subprocess module
to run a program and get its output line by line. But, it always waits
for the process to terminate and then return the output all at once.
Can someone please show me some code that actually works for this sort
of thing? It doesn't even have to use the subprocess module. Don't

Every thing work fine when I am not starting process as another user.
When I am starting process as another user, the authentication is
working (I can see it in my workstation security log), but I always
got the error: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception "invalid
descriptor" at line 20
