Starting up SDK doco from the command line?

Hi,

This is a question for DOS programmers, if there are any here... :)

I'm successfully using the command line for c# programming, except for one
thing - I can't startup the SDK documentation from it. To get the SDK doco I
have to startup IE on the "...\SDK\StartH ere.htm", and then click the link to
the SDK doco. The item linked to is
"javascript:Lin k('ms-help://MS.NETFramework SDKv1.1/sdkstart/html/sdkstart.htm'".
I've tried every way I can think of to open that link from the command line,
and I'm stuck.

TIA,

Javaman

Try

"%ProgramFiles% \Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Help\dex plore.exe"
/helpcol ms-help://MS.NETFramework SDKv1.1/sdkstart/html/sdkstart.htm

Hi, How do I see, from within my main method, in what context my assembly, containing my service program, is executed ?? I want to be able to detect if the assembly is executed by the service system (say started from the Services applet) or if it was executed from a command line (in which case the service won't start). The reason for this is that on my service assembly I have created the

I have written a C# application which should run as a Windows Service. I must avoid having multiple instances of the application on one machine so I inserted the following code at the beginning of the Main() function: // if this is not the first instance of this application, exit // immediately. Allow only one instance in the system if (Process.GetProcessesByName(Process.GetCurrentProcess().ProcessName).Length > 1)

This has been driving me insane for the last hour or so. I have search everywhere, and nothing works. I am trying to use the subprocess module to run a program and get its output line by line. But, it always waits for the process to terminate and then return the output all at once. Can someone please show me some code that actually works for this sort of thing? It doesn't even have to use the subprocess module. Don't worry if the code...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
