Could not create ActiveX control in test container

Hi,
I have created an ActiveX control and build the project with 'No Common
Language RunTime support' option and everything worked fine. But when I used
the option 'Common Language Runtime Support (/clr)' I still could build the
project. But when I tried to create the ActiveX control in the test container
it displays an error message 'Failed to create control:Unspeci fied error'.
Please help to solve this problem. Actually I wanted to try out something
specified in http://msdn2.microsoft.com/library/9...us,vs.80).aspx

Dear All: I'm not sure if this is even possible but does anyone know about using ActiveX controls (a Microsoft-specific technology) in Java? I am having a heck of a time finding some similar functionality in Java provided by some controls (ActiveX) and I was wondering if I can manipulate them using Java? Thanks in advance, Carl

Hello, I am trying to access some windows components from a web based application and I am having trouble find my way. The only solution seems to be to creat an ActiveX control to access the local com objects. My problem is that I have been primaraly working in C# and too time consuming to go back and re-learn VC++ to creat those controls I need. I found some articles on how to creat ActiveX controls using C# and they work find when I...

I am using an ActiveX control in a .NET application which I put on a form. I have another .NET control on that form that handles the Validating event. The method that handles the Validating event, shows a message box and sets e.Cancel = True. When I click any other control in the form, the message box shows and the focus returns to the control that handled the Validating event. The problem happens when I click on the ActiveX control. The...

Hello, I've written a Windows Forms application in .NET 2.0 and am exposing it to COM using the checkbox in Project Properties and by adding some register functions and adding it to the GAC. I'm using the ActiveX Test Container (tstcon32.exe) and I'm able to add the control to the container. All this works, well almost... I'm using some Invoke calls from worker threads that update the GUI. In native .NET this means that stuff is done on...

I've got an ActiveX control that I created and use in an HTML file. In that case, I have it in an <object> tag in the body. Works great. Now I'm wanting to defer the creation of the object until some time AFTER the page loads. So I'm putting a place for it in the <body> using a <div id="myOCX"></div> placeholder. I created a Javascript function that can create the ActiveX control, and it actually works. I can see that I get some logging...

When i Run the application in .Net the logs will be created in the application folder itself. When i attach this (.Net...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
