Start application "File or assembly name xxx.dll ... not found"

Starting our application I get this error "File or assembly name xxx.dll, or
one of its dependencies, was not found." The filename xxx.dll changes every
start (i.e. eb5mq-ng.dll, akttbvik,dll, ...).

It's a managed code application. The error occurs only on two computers. On
a lot computers (#> 100) it works.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thank you

Hello, Project = class library dll implemented in C++ as a managed wrapper around an unmanaged class, and a small project to consume it (shown at bottom). Running the consumer code results in the run time error message below, at start up, before any of the consumer code runs. What does the error message mean and how do I debug it? Dear all, I'm in the process of designing a distributed application on the basis of ASP.NET, which does not contain of scripts, but of assemblies containing classes that implement IHttpHandler to mimic script-like behaviour. The following section in web.config enables this particular kind of assembly usage. <httpHandlers>

Hello, I have a very simple application that I am trying to publish to a Windows 2005 server. During my testing, I sucessfully published my application using ClickOnce to my local IIS. I noticed two things that VS2005 did during the publishing process: 1. It created a folder with my current version of the application & four files (publish.htm, setup.exe, MyApp.application, and MyApp_1_0_0_0.application).

Sometimes when I After I click "Start Debugging" I get a "File not Found" Exception. Could not load file or assembly 'FormTesting, Version=1.0.2646.36738, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. Usually this happen right after (or maybe while) the Output window is showing the projects the IDE is checking.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
