Hi.
I need the count of the number of rows within a text file.
I checked the File object but could not find a method there to do what I need.
Is there an efficient way to count the numbers of rows?
Currently all I can think of is opening the file for reading and counting
every row.
This could be a long tedious task as some of the text files have millions of
rows in them.

written in Access that link to Btrieve files thru an ODBC connection,
and create a run time app using Office Developer's Edition so that my
customers can run the reports using the native Btrieve data. *whew*

I need to add the ability to drag from a Windows Form and drop into a
non dotNet application. For example, having a generated image in my
app that I wish to drag out into explorer as a friendly way to save
it.
I have tried creating the object that I place into the DoDragDrop() by
inheriting the COM interfaces IDropSource and IDataObject with no
luck. If anyone can help I am very much open to suggestions.

This is my 1st time out here so please bear with me.
I am trying to transfer data from a SQL Server 2000 DB to a Btrieve file. I have everything set up and used the Import/Export Utility to create the DTS Package. Everything seems to wotk fine until I hit a field in the SQL Server 2000 DB that has a signle quote (') in a name field. Btrieve seems to bomb on that record.
