Installing Visual Studio MSDN LIbrary with no CD

Hello, I am currently stuck on #3 of the installation. I got a freee copy
through MSDNAA. But I downloaded the install for Visual Studio. When I get
to step 3 they ask me to INSERT MSDN DISK 1. But I have no disk, and any
folder I select does not work. What file or where can I download the
library. Tough to program with out the libraries!!! thanks in advance!!

Hi, I have a development machine with Visual Studio .Net 2003 which, as far as I know, targets the 1.1 .Net Framework. Now I need to open some solutions that were created in another machine with Visual Studio .Net 2002 (against the 1.0 Framework). I have already read:

I'm currently experiencing a strange phenomenon: At my Office, Visual Studio takes a very long time to compile our solution (more than 1 minute for the first project). At home, Visual Studio compiles the same solution much faster (about 10 seconds for the first project). My home computer is only marginally faster than the one I have at the office (P4 2.53 vs. P4 2.4, same amount of RAM). On the slow machine, the CPU usage is very low,...

I am dying trying to get the GinaStub example to work at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vcsample98/html/vcsmpginastubsample.asp Any help is greatly appreciated and much thanks given in advance. I am very new to the Visual C++ environment, so I am hoping is something very silly and easy to fix.

I'm using Visual Studio, with ASP.NET. Is VSS on a separate CD. Also, is it possible to use the VSS beta (2005) with .NET if I'm not using the .NET beta. And finally, where do I get the VSS beta... when I go to msdn, it just directs me to a page with Whidbey downloads.... nothing mentioned on VSS TY Jason Shohet

I have been told that installing .Net on machines which have Developer Studio (VB6 and C++) causes problems. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and what measures might be taken to avoid problems. Thanks CharlesW

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
