I am using IE 6.0. On a page, I have placed a contenteditable div
which I
want to use as a Rich Text Area. I am using the execCommand method of
the
document to control bold, italics, underlining, and undo for this div.
I
have placed an input element on the page to. All but the undo, are
restricted to working only on the div. How can I restrict the undo to
working on only the div?
Below is the complete page so you can see what I am...

Hi,
I have a text control on a form which is bound to table field StartDate
which is in Date format. When updating the table record via the form, any
data entered into the StartDate control is immediately validated. If the
data entered is considered valid, focus moves to the next control in the tab
sequence. So far, so good.
If the data entered in StartDate is considered invalid, an error message is
displayed via MsgBox. When OK is...

On a form, I create a record and save, and am ready to enter another.
I decide to Quit the form which executes an "Undo" in case there is
data entered. This then tries to "delete" my just saved record.
I want to "Reset" my Undo ability once I've saved a record. Is there a
way to reset the Undo?
Any help or tips would greatly help. I'm looking for syntax and
attachment points.

I am still trying to get the Undo function work on Internet Explorer editor
hosted as activex in my c# application.
Some time ago I've found a note at msdn that says "undo is not supported". I
gave up.
But lately I've downloaded LutzRoeder Writer that makes use of undo
function. I've looked at the code and it turns out that it uses
IOleCommandTarget interface to invoke this command.

General question about how WinForms handles undoing a change during a
control's validation, if it does at all.
After a change to a control's value, if the data is determined to be
invalid, then in the control's Validating event handler, setting e.Cancel =
true will prevent the offending control from losing focus until the data in
the control is good.
If the user wants to revert to the original data, say by hitting ESC, does
the form...

I've got a comboBox with 2 choices and based on the choice, I make
button A or button B visible
if choose choice 1, button A is visible
now, I undo the choice so that the comboBox is null, but button A is
still visible
I tried the field's onChange event, but no luck
I could use the form's timer event, but I wonder if there's a better

Dear ladies and gents,
I'm trying to determine whether the .NET Framework implements a means
of transactional processing without the need for a database.
Essentially, I'd like to enlist light-weight portable business objects
within transactions so that that have the ability to roll-back if the
client of the object wishes to undo any changes made. For example, if I
had a, let's say for sake of simplicity, a person class that had two...

Hello,
Does vb2005 have a built-in UnDo feature / object for applications so that I
can undo actions like other windows apps? Or do I have to write my own UnDo
routine?
If vb2005 does have a builtin Undo feature / object / command -- how to
implement it? invoke it?
If there is no builtin undo feature - is there a recommended way to write an

I'm working on an application that does some DOM manipulation. I want
to add a mechanism for "Undo" so that the user can revert to the
previous state after performing a mistaken action. Simple idea, not
necessarily simple to implement.
My first idea for this is to use closures and an array that tracks the
inverse of the user's actions. Here's a simple example in which the
user can only remove DOM nodes and then undo the removal...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
