I have two projects I am attempting to publish to a production environment.
When I run the project and\or pages they run fine on my development
machine(the pc with vs.net that the app\pages were written on). When I copy
the project to a production IIS web server, the pages load properly on the
first load for each page. I have multiple list boxes that are databound
programatically on the page load event.

I recently deployed a web application which contains a user registration
form with the usual fields: name, address, email, password, etc. Each of the
TextBoxes uses a validation control to verify the input. On my development
server, this form works precisely as expected.
When I deploy the app to the production server (a hosting service), the
client-side validation quits working altogether. Now, I KNOW that scripts
are enabled and working...

I have the Microsoft Press: Developing Microsoft ASP.NET Server Controls and
Components book. It's starting to shine some light on control development
but there is something about composite controls that I don't understand...
I've included a snippet from Chapter 12 below on Composite Controls:
<start>
Override the CreateChildControls method to instantiate child controls,
initialize them, and add them to the control tree. Do not perform...

It seems, it is caching it.
The following code is an example for it. How can avoid from this.
override void OnLoad (sender and eventargs)
{
Control control = this.LoadControl (path);
this.Controls.Add (control);
// I change the content of the html of the control.
TextReader reader = new StreamReader (path);

In my development environment, the validation controls work fine.
(Incidentally, i am using almost all of them). However, when i deploy my
ASP.NET application to the live production environment, using VS .NET's "Copy
Project" feature, which copys only the files necessary to run on another
machine, the validation controls simply disappear.
For example, when i click SUBMIT to submit a form that's empty, the
validation controls don't do...

(I hope this isn't considered too far off-topic.)
I work as a developer on a browser product found on handheld devices,
and I'm trying to specify behavior for the browser to make it "as
compatible as possible" with reference browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera,
NS, etc??) when presented with HTML content containing form controls
(input, textarea, select/option) in the absence of enclosing form
element tags.
Obviously in the absence of...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
