Does anyone know what causes and how to prevent getting
System.IO.FileLoadException everytime
you launch a new version of an .exe via a href. ?
The error reads...An exception 'System.IO.FileLoadException' has
occured in IEExec.exe.
2nd attempt works fine. Its just the initial download after updating the .exe.
I've seen various other people having the same problem, but no explanations

If i create a simple windows form .exe then launch it via a href, ( simple
one touch deployment ), why does
the .net framework/iis search in multiple places and for multiple files
derived from the actual .exe name. ( most of which don't exist )
eg;

I have written a web service, but I want clients to be able to consume it
without having the .NET framework installed on their PC. The web service
doesn't return any values; it is just used to record requests: a user can
send their personal ID to the web service, and this is stored in a database.
Is is possible to launch this request from a hyperlink? What other options

With the body tag calling out 'window onload', a function with a
'window.open' fails at the 'window.open' line. If I cut out the body
tag, the function executes as normal.
At first I thought it was the entire function failing, but I tested
with alerts and found that it was only the 'window.open' that fails to
execute.
The function is being called by a link, and I suspected some problem
with the body alink/vlink but after cutting that out...

I've read that one must return false from an onclick handler attached
to an anchor if we wanted to prevent the browser from following the
href. In a greasemonkey script I'm hacking together with duct tape and
chicken wire the links that I'm creating follow the hrefs, killing the
associated action. To get around this, I'm assigning the URL which I
need in the logMe function to a made up attribute, rather than use
newlink.href as I do...

Hello,
my web-application uses two frames, one with a list of database
records, one with a record detail view. From the detail view there is
"mark" function that will mark the respective record in the list frame
(with a special color).
Now this mark function is meant to toggle the mark status in the list
frame, i.e. switch it on with the first click and off with the second.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
